Cabela's Spring Master Catalog has it on page 179 for 21.99 and calls it a RV adapter part number CG 52-1613-066, converts a L5-30 locking receptacle for three prong RV use. The L5-30 may be the twist lock on a Honda Parallel kit. Says it plugs into a Single 30 A 125V NEMA L-5-30 and the RV cord plugs into it. Is that the same plug as a Champion or others on the twist lock? I don't know but it sounds good.... The older Champion is a NEMA L14-30 plug so I don't think it will work. Thanks for following up on that for me! MikeRe: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. Tonka Truck wrote: I was reading the new Cabela's catalog last night. They show an RV plug adapter that is Female RV and Male twistlock for the Genset outlet. It gave the NEMA number for the plug, looked like a three prong twist lock to me. This might be the answer for the earlier Champions or other brands. It was a heavier plug than the RV plug adapter to the standard wall socket typesold at Wal-Mart for example. What is the NEMA number? The NEMA L14-30 is common on the older Champions. I'm going to check the Cabela's web site to see if I can find it and will post a link if i find it. Also, which catalog is it in? Edit, couldn't find it on Cabelas site :(Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.professor, Congratulations! Page 200, over 2000 posts on this subject! It has slowed down some but I sure haven't seen many posts with bad experiences with these gennys. Thanks again! :BRe: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.Found another RV ready clone.. That mod uses a 30 amp plug, and makes a full 30 amps available at one outlet. I have performed this mod, and It will run my AC andMicrowave at the same time, plus whatever other misc. draws I may have running. I am not competent enough to perform this procedure and the diagrams are to small to make out. Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.A question on the Champion, I am getting ready to do the rewire as outlined by camperdave on page 184 and would like one thing explained in easy layman terms. What am I gaining by doing this? Everything seems to run fine now with the trailer plugged into the generator using a standard adapter into the 20amp receptacle. Has anyone measured the output before and after the mod? Reading this post and seeing all the talk of rewiring makes the reader think we should do this automatically. Should we? Thanks in advance! Confused :? P.S., professor, if a good answer is given you might add it to the Edit on Page one of your post to explain to newbies the benefit of this modification. JMHO ThanksRe: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. You've created a monster! Thanks to all for what has been accomplished !Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. I looked at the two and saw that the Champion was 3500 rated and 4400 surge while the Power Pro was 3000 rated and 3500 surge. There didn't seem to be much difference between the two other than that. I have seen the link to rewiring the Power Pro for all 120v but is there a detailed page showing the same for the Champion?
