Use a thin oil to fill the housing which had a piece of felt inside. On the newer AC the oiler wasn't there (cost saving???) and so I ordered a replacement fan unit from eBay - took about 30 minutes to replace. Hardest part is removing the squirrel cage fan - there is a cutout in one of the blades that you insert a long thin blade into to undo the screw that holds it in place.Re: List Of RV Parks With Awesome Wi-Fi?The biggest problem with such a list is that it would change day to day. Most RV parks now provide WiFi and most are now setting up antennas to bring the signal to all parts of the parks. Most people are now using more and more bandwidth for video streaming (Netflix) etc. Combine the two and you have a problem. Even if the Park uses Cable Internet, they are probably only bringing in 10Mbs in most cases. Consider that 6 people streaming video will fully utilize that bandwidth. I have come across only 2 parks that had 'clever' routers that would block all Peer to Peer downloads and restrict access speeds after the first 50MB had been downloaded. The technology to do this has been around for some time and the Parks are slowly beginning to wake up to the fact that they need to limit the bandwidth to individual users. I believe that within 5 years, the cell companies are going to offer unlimited bandwidth packages anyway - Sprint and T-Mobile already do and I am sure the others will follow.Re: Used dinghy, auto trans, under 3000 lbs. I'm always interested in peoples perceptions of the Smart and I should post a photo or two of DW after a shopping trip to the Supermarket :) She can get $200 worth of groceries nicely lined up in the cargo space. Also, how many times do you actually need the extra cargo space and it's easy to add a small $800 trailer for the occasional trip to the dump or lumber yard. But I agree, they are not for everyone and you are either hooked on them or you dislike them. :)Re: Extending my short queen bedHere's a possible idea for the void problem... If you get some foam cut that will fill the void and wrap it in cotton and then some sort of cover material, you can sew it to the edge of the mattress. When not needed, the new foam piece will fold back over the mattress at the head of the bed. By sliding the mattress down onto the new platform, the new foam filler will rotate back into place and create a smooth sleeping surface. Just an idle thought during an idle minute :)Re: Warning dont order from these peopleThe only issue I have had with overseas orders has been the need to send back the parts. In your case I suspect the seller would have replaced the items if you would have returned the wrong parts to them. Not easy when they are overseas. In my experience, there are as many dishonest buyers as there are sellers on eBay and PayPal certainly favors the buyer in 99% of cases. In my 700+ transactions I can probably count the number of problem cases on the fingers of both hands so overall I have been very satisfied with both eBay and PayPal.Re: camping in nashville tnWe just left Yogi Bear a few days ago. We were lucky enough to get their half price deal for August - at $30 a night it was good value - for $60 it's expensive unless you have kids/grandkids in tow in which case it's ok pricewise as they have quite a bit for kids to do including a lifeguard attended pool. They were pretty empty so worth calling and saying that you want to see if they will still honor their Facebook Half Price Special.Re: 1995 Kountry Star with 460 and Banks - trip reportAnother update to fuel consumption - driving quickly on an Interstate sure takes it's toll on fuel consumption plus the AC and then an awful headwind for 200 miles. I guess that's about as low as it will go however.Re: Any nice parks in Amarillo and where to visit?Oh dear - I guess we will have to go see the Big Texan then :)Re: 1995 Kountry Star with 460 and Banks - trip reportUpdated with some more numbers - will fill up again tomorrow but as we are on I-40 with the AC on all the time and 65-70mph to keep up with traffic, I am expecting us to be around 7mpg Interesting that if I take a hill at 60mph (2200rpm) then I slow down to 50mph at the top but if I take it at 65mph then I can maintain that speed all the way to the top - definitely a 'power band' with the Banks Sorry Gjac, I purchased the rig with the Banks installed so no experience without it - my previous older rig was a 454 Carb so apples and oranges. Maybe someone else has mileage info on a 22k# rig without Banks?Any nice parks in Amarillo and where to visit? We have a couple of spare days that we will be spending in Amarillo, TX Never been before so are there any nice RV parks around and any cool places to visit? Thx
