I have one of these for the kids bikes and doing the following for my wife's and my larger (also nicer) bikes, as well as the half wheeler: Dinette rackRe: Front windows on Trailer leak or not?Sold my 2000 Trail Lite last season. Had a front window with travel cover. Never had a leak while I had it. On a side note, I do miss having that window! I could watch what was going on out front from inside the camper, see my kids when they went out there, or lay in our bed that was there and look up at the stars....Re: Ghost in the camperHa... mine was doing this and I thought I was nuts or someone was living in it because I left it unlocked in the back of the house! Happened 4 or 5 times. I went as far as turning off all the switches for speaker selection, turning volume to 0, source to aux, and then turning it off and it did it again. I locked the door and it stopped. Maybe I locked my ghost out. My kids swear it wasn't them.Re: hanging a hammock?I am up in the northern Illinois too and haven't had any issues hanging my hammocks at IL and WI parks. When I don't have a second tree nearby I take one of my spare boards for leveling and rig it up. 2X8 that is probably 6 ft tall. Plant one end in the ground and lean it away from the hammock a little. Tie the hammock to the top then run a rope back to my bumper or any other stationary object to anchor it. I used a sign post for the site 25 feet away the last time. Then I run a rope out each side and stake it to keep it stationary. I can send you a pic if you want. It doesn't take long and it used all stuff I already had with.Re: looking to buy a bunk style TT... where to start?Sorry I'm in a rush and didn't read too well through everthing but my only suggestion with looking for a new camper with young ones is to think about the positioning of the dinette. We insist on camp side dinette because we will often want to sit down and relax with coffee at the dinette and want to be able to watch the kids in our camp. So many floorplans have next to no windows on the camp side. They are all on the service side....Re: TT Model With Rear Window and Curbside WindowsWish more of the trailers had curbside dinette! We need a bunkhouse but it seems more have the big window and dinette on the service side....Re: Would you buy R-vision with current situation?I own a Trail Lite by R-vision. It's 14 years old but I've never had a problem getting any parts by just going to any RV dealer. The parts are so interchangeable from one manufacturer to the rest I haven't had any issues...Re: back water tankTook wife, Mother in law, and my 4 young daughters on a trip last week and had the same issue. Ours was a TP dam.... The flushing wand in thru the toilet was able to break it up.Re: What are your fun family activites while camping? My girls (age 2 5 7) can honestly just play in the dirt for hours! :) They love looking for animals and collecting supplies (twigs and such) for the fire... One you could look up is www.letterboxing.org It is similar to geocaching but uses landmarks and clues instead of gps. Generally most areas have them in forest preserves and parks and such. Also instead of "stuff" in the box it is usually a hand carved stamp. You stamp your own logbook and then sign the one in the box. My kids each have their own book and handcarved stamp and love the "hunt"...Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012Added some rails to the bunks... and they are easily removable for getting in and out. The fabric is all being changed out to match the red / white / brown so they will match better as we finish up.
