One if them sent us a letter saying we had to provide a permanent address. I provided them our mailing service St Brendan's Idle and copies of our drivers licenses, but that was denied. They froze the acct, citing the Patriots Act. At the time we we're just starting to have a house built, didn't need or plan on using the money si we waited until they finished and provided that time them and they released the money. We probably could of done a number of things to get around it but didn't bother as it was only a couple of months. I don't remember which it was but definitely was not Charles Swartz. This all happened after we'd been full timing for several years. Had the same thing happen to a credit card I had, they canceled (again which was fine as I never used it) but the funny th ing was my wife had a card with them also, not same acct, and never had a problem. So definately a spot check and flagged mine.Re: question about power stepsI've had 3 rv's ranging from starter model to highend. On everyone I've had problems with the steps. intermitten problems to eventually not working at all. Everytime I have fixed it by lubricating every moving part in them. I drove our rv's alot so I found I had to do it about once a year. Try the easiest solution first. Just my 2 cents.Re: Why the Good Deals on Integra Qwest?I had an Entegra Anthem and pretty much all their coaches are priced below comparable RV from other manufacturers, they are extremely well built, with 4things like solid wood cabinets and doors, the best insulation of all rv's.The only reason I can thing of is they don't do any customization and very few options. Pretty much what they have is what you get, keeping inventory costs low. Also they give a 2 year warranty and have excellent support.Re: First time to S.DakotaOur favorite RV Park was Hart Ranch between Custer and Rushmore. Definitely eat at their restaurant on Saturday night, great Primerib dinner.Highly recommend. https://www.hartranchresort.com/about/Re: january to april florida campgroundsWe stayed at Bulow RV Resort (nice place with lots of amenities and nice people but I wouldn't consider it a resort) It's located right between St Augustine and Daytona and only a couple miles from Flagler Beach. Also about an hour from Orlando. We stayed there for a few months and decided to move here. https://www.google.com/search?q=bulow+rv&oq=bulow+rv&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l3.14665j0j4&client=ms-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8Re: SizeI have owned 3 rv's the last being a high end almost 44'. I felt that it was great for major highway driving and when we were in our campground. But it seemed most times when I got off the major highways on a "spur of the moment" type event I'd get in trouble. (I also towed a jeep so couldn't really back up). As a result we'd miss a lot of stuff that we'd see driving and would of gotten off to visit and see if I wasn't worried about potential problems, like branches scraping the sides, not being able to turn around etc. These rigs are also taller mine was 13' tall and in my opinion/experience you really need to know about where you're going and stick to the plan. I sold mine and currently am looking at much smaller rigs. Also if you run into any problems that require towing or repairs it becomes a whole different nightmare. With the big rigs usually come with lots of conveniences and they also of a tendency to have problems resulting in you having to fix them or trying to get into a shop for rv repairs, which is a whole other thread. Just my 2 cents and experienceRe: Do air bags air up at start up of my class A. Beaver mtr hm?Not familiar with your RV but on both that I have owned they aired up when you started the engine, automatically.Re: Country Coach 110V Problemi had the same type of problem on my 2nd RV not a CC. !/2 my coach AC was not working. After checking everything, I ended up at the power cord. I firmly reset it in the pedestal and on the coach end and it fixed the problem. one of the sides was not making good contact. I also mentioned this on another post a while back and the poster ended up fixing it the same way. Good Luck!Re: General charging questionI had a transfer switch go bad during warranty and Entegra sent a mobile tech out. This guy was excellent and really knew about RV power systems. Some how we got talking about this. A lot of times in warm climates I would start the gem before disconnecting the power. His response was why take that chance, yes you can do it but he advised not to, as any issue could result in a major problem. Now I shut everything down and unplug before starting the generator. As he said why take the chance.Re: 1st timer, please help! Best RVs 34-40' under $350k ??Good advice already posted so I'll take a different route and post my experience. I've owned 3 rv's the 1st was a gas 36 ft the 2nd a 40' diesel the 3rd 43' plus a few inches and loaded with everything, all the bells and whistles. Well all those bells and whistles are potential problems. I was much happier with the 2nd RV which was a basic but nice diesel pusher very few problems and fixed quickly. The last one seemed to always have something needing fixing. Motors for shares going out, fancy cabinets needing latches, aqua hot needing something, heated floor leaking and on and on. Also at almost 44' and 13' high towing a car you had to be very careful getting off major routes with out planning. Seemed like everytime I did I got in some kind of situation. We did full time during that period and traveled a lot, it would of been easier to just drop it off and have them fix it and go home but we found sitting in waiting rooms with 2 dogs was not our thing.
