Hope this format change was worth sacrificing the longest running thread on the internet. Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} “I still have to scroll to the bottom, then click on page 1 to get to the newest posts.” Bingo! That’s the detail I was missing.Clumsy but it works. Thanks! Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} Glad to hear the thread survived. I still can’t get past the first page but I’ll keep trying. Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} Not sure what happened here. I don’t follow the thread regularly. This time I stopped by to catch up and only a portion of the thread on a new site. is the Ol Fella thread dead? Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} Shadow57 wrote: Happy National Dog Day!!! I have 5 dogs that pretty much run the place around here. I'm blessed to live on a small farm with horses and a few cats. My "littles" travel with us as we trail ride all over the country. The 3 big dogs stay home and help my grown kids who live down the road take care of the place. I miss Richard and his beautiful stories, always enjoyed them over my coffee. RIAH I sure hope the cat comes home. Happy Dog Day!!! I didn’t know that. I thought it was August (Dogust) first.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} riah wrote: This is not a dog related post, but, in the spirt of Old Fella, if you all can possibly say a prayer for our family’s feline that went missing Sunday night, her canine sister and human pack would greatly appreciate it!!! Sadly, she wasn’t chipped nor collared, so there is no identifying information relating her to us. (She was a barn cat that was born to strays left off in the neighborhood that adopted us…she came in one day 11 years ago through the dog door and never left. She moved with us 7 years ago to the current location we are residing.) She has never been gone more than a day and it’s now been 5 days now. She is neutered also, so not lie she wud be out for that reason either…. Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well! PS- Is Waynesboro the town located in VA? Just curious which state we are referring to for the Old Fella pilgrimage…. Tried to find OFBCAR. I made a few donations back when Richard was still involved so I wanted to see if his vision had survived him. Sorry to say there is no facility. A couple of board members still do rescues from their homes. Most go north to shelters where demand exceeds supply. Its been awhile since I posted a photo here. Hope I remember how. What a coincidence. I was there today. Have been on a road trip to Canada and arrived back in Panama City Beach about 30 mins ago. Camped near Waynesboro last night and went into town this morning. I was their Wednesday. Stayed at the Hampton Inn and had dinner at the Lake View restaurant. Nice little town. They probably don’t realize they have a tourist attraction.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}I extended a road trip a bit and made the pilgrimage to Waynesboro. Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}Where in Waynesboro is the Old Fella Burke County Animal Rescue? I’ve sent them a few checks over the years but all I have is a P. O. Box.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} DOTLDaddy wrote: Martyn wrote: Hi FOOFS! We are going to do a big trip from Panama City Beach up into Ontario in late July, early August. On our way home our trip will pass through Waynesboro, Georgia - where the Old Fella Memorial is. Can someone give me its exact location in Waynesboro? Thanks! Waynesboro City Park. Intersection of S.Liberty and W.5th street. Give Old Fella a pat on the head for me.:) I sold the RV a couple years ago to live like a “normal” person. Now I have a new car and an itch for a roadtrip. You’ve planted a seed. Hmmmm.
