After a couple immediate replies that were outrageous, and I suspect may have been auto generated, I found someone who was reasonably priced and delivered to my location with no problems. DH is happy the rig is secure and we can concentrate on the important stuff now.Re: Any RV transport recommendation? So, to clarify, not moving the RV home but to where DH is hospitalized as we will be here for at least a month.Re: Any RV transport recommendation?A change now, DH admitted in Spokane and too ill to transfer so we’re about 31/2 hours from the RV and staying put. It’s transport for the RV only as I have the truck. I’ll call the campground tomorrow, it’s a family run place that may know some local options now that the round trip could be made in one day rather than cross country from WA to NC. As to the friend suggestion, I have a volunteer in NC but I sure hate to impose a cross country trip on him just to move the RV 200 miles. The campground owner has been great and is blocking my space past my original departure date.Any RV transport recommendation? We are on a trip and my husband may need to be flown home due to a medical issue. I’d rather go with him than try to tow our fifth wheel home alone. We’re in WA but live in NC. So this is not just transporting the RV but driving our entire rig, truck and trailer. Anyone used one of these services and can recommend? Has anyone stored their rig at their vacation point in an emergency then flown back up to pick it up after recovery? Not sure which is the best option.Re: slideout jumps in place and does not retractJerry nailed it, it was broken teeth on the gear. We’ll make some calls tomorrow to see if we can get the necessary part. I was told it would be worth it to call Winnebago since they bought Sunnybrook and could give us a part number? The trailer’s 12 years old so I don’t know how likely that would be.slideout jumps in place and does not retractWe have a 2006 Sunnybrook 5th wheel. When I retracted the slide, it came almost all the way in then stopped with a strange thump. DH was still outside putting away hoses and didn’t hear it, but advised me to cycle it back out, then in again. It extended about a foot and a half, and then stopped. The motor was running and it was slightly jumping in place, not moving. I then tried to bring it in but it retracted only about a foot before the same thing happened. We are still on shore power, the motor sounds normal but we cannot get the slider to fully retract or extend. I’ve called a mobile service (we are in a campground, departing today) but since it will be 5 hours before a guy can get out here, thought I’d post in case there are any ideas we could try. DH opened the access panel. Electric motor is mounted vertically. The slide actuator arm is horizontal. Where those two meet, it’s not working. Motor works, horizontal actuator shaft remain stationary. DH’s best guess is the gears in the transmission are the problem so don’t know if there’s anything we can do about it ourselves.Re: Do TST 507 sensors just go bad?I find you can't really use those sensors as an accurate measure of tire pressure. I'll top off my tires and, though the gauge shows they are all 80, the TPMS sensors will show 78-82. If you suspect a leak there is a rubber o-ring inside. The company will send you a free package of replacements. The rings will degrade over time, especially as I take mine off and on as I put my unit in and out of storage. I have had sensors fail completely- it will display nothing at that point. TST customer service is very good, give them a call.Re: Canadian Atlantic itinerary checkThanks for the info. I can't seem to change the Topic line, but we are visiting just the Maritimes.Re: Canadian Atlantic itinerary checkJust our style. Eveyone has their own preferences on how they like to travel.Re: Canadian Atlantic itinerary checkAny suggestions for a better located base for the SW end of NS than the Halifax/Dartmouth? It's hard to judge travel times by looking at distance only. We'd rather stay in one spot for a week and take day trips instead of moving camp every few days. I see a couple of campground possibilities near Lunenburg, if that area has more of interest.
