The dry weight is 1750, overall length is 19'9 inches. Truck has a 36 gal. tank and I can get most places and back on 2 tanksRe: Towing boat question:Yup, I had already checked on the legality of it. My concerns are how do you hook up without backing and do you just drop the boat off on the road while you park the RV then go back and pick it up and put the boat in, take it to a slip (I can rent a slip at the 3 reservoirs I want to take it - Lake Powell, Strawberry and Flaming Gorge) then just drop off the trailer for the boats? I have a trip to Flaming Gorge planned for July and I have rented a truck for my wife to drive with the boat. After that I plan on trying to triple. I have only been on one trip with the 5ver so far so I'm just getting the hang of it.Towing boat questionI just got a 5th wheel and I have a boat that I'd like to take to a couple of places with the 5ver. I'm pretty sure I have plenty of truck (2017 GMC Sierra Denali 3500 with the largest Duramax and Allison Tranny)for my 31 foot rig. The boat will add another 19 feet and 1800 lbs. I've been towing my boat for years but towing 2 things??? Scares the hell out of me. Wondering if any of you do it and how it works for you. I have figured out I can't back the combination up no matter what so how the heck do you hood up the boat? Any special problems?Re: Tire coatingQuestion regarding 303. How often do you need to apply it? I just got back from Yellowstone (our maiden voyage)and another RVer told me to use it. He was completely sold. I have heard that some products, if not continually applied will actually harm the tire. So, how often does it need to be reapplied and can it harm tires if one were to stop using it?Re: Trip planning mistakeGo to Cortez CO and explore Mesa Verde. With a week You could also hit Arches and Canyonlands in southern Utah. Or if you wanted to see some GREAT caverns you could go south and hit Carlsbad (6+ hours drive)caverns. There are 3-4 different hikes in the cavern and there are some other cavers in the same system that are fascinating as well. In the summer it is fun at Carlsbad to watch the bats go in and out of the cavern at dawn and dusk. MILLIONS of bats. Either schedule would keep them entertained for 3 or 4 days with time left over for the travel.Cleaning black water tankI've looked at several Youtubes on the subject (gross!). I have not yet purchased a 5th wheel I just got a GMC3500 with Duramax/ Allison transmission so I figure I can pull anything and we are looking around 30 footer. I saw where one guy said if your pipes have more than 1 45 degree turn it is pretty much impossible to get any real pressure in there to clean out the tank. I'm looking at Jayco and Cougar but can't find any data on that topic online. Question 1, is he full of ... blackwater? 2 where can I find that data on the afore mentioned 5th wheels. He did like a cleaning device called the Tornado but again, it does a better but not perfect job. Thanks from one who is not even a noobie yet. :R
