Not sure if you have considered it at this point but, we found, for us, that a hybrid was the best of both worlds. Lot's of space because the bunks were not in the main living area, very nice amenities and low weight. You have the canvas to deal with but, pound for pound, we loved our hybrid. Actually, the job isn't as bad as you might think. I replaced fuel and brake lines on ours and I had no experience doing that kind of thing. Take your time and study up beforehand. Brake lines were harder than fuel lines. Fuel pump isnt hard. Ours was an 02.405Views0likes0CommentsWDH
We currently have a Fastway E2 hitch. We typically travel with a small amount of water in the fresh water tank but when we are boondocking, we fill the tank full. The tank is forward of the axles so tongue weight is greatly increased with a full tank of water. What hitch would allow us to have more weight distribution when the tank is full and less when it's almost empty? We're pulling a 30' travel trailer with a 2500HD. We have a Flagstaff 26RLWS. The floorplan works out great for us. Like having 2 chairs, a sofa and a dinete table with 4 chairs. The wardrobe slide is what did it for us. Small but holds a lot of stuff. Drawbacks? I wish there was a bit more room between the recliners and the counter but it works. 2 doors is very nice and everything is accessible during travel. We have a 2016 Flagstaff 26RLWS. Been very pleased with it and have had no significant problems at all. I haven't seen the specific model you are looking at but one thing we found with ours is the little touches in the design. My wife says it must have been designed by a woman because they thought of a lot of little things that add up to a very nice RV. The quality of ours is exceptional.
