They give me an incredible ride quality and I can take my beadlocks apart to repair a tire and put them back together and they will be just as balanced. In my 40 years of working with vehicles I have maybe seen one tire that did not require balancing. That covers everything from low profile racing tires to 40 inch tall mud tires. I had a set of street tires trued on my sportscar many years ago and they still needed some weight to balance. At a minimum, you need to compensate for the valve stem. I love my Centramatics! Re: US source for Thetford C2 partsI ordered from the UK. The dealers in the SoCal area don't even know what a cassette toilet is. I called the factory but frankly, they were jerks; just repeated "we don't sell direct." They make a great product but their marketing department is clueless. With shipping and customs fees I still saved $400 ordering my toilet from the UK.Re: Lighter weight camper options rottidawg wrote: This really isn't the best forum if your interested in pop up backcountry type campers. I think I'm the only one here with a FWC. Try these: http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/ http://www.expeditionportal.com I bought a 1988 Keystone from a gentleman who used it for surfing in Mexico for years. It has some wear and tear but is still going strong. I plan on gutting the interior and updating all the appliances, on demand water heater, compressor fridge, cassette toilet, etc. Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereWhite Christmas Re: 4wd,Bronco 800 and whoops dont mixThey are called "Whoops" for a reason, lol.Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper Here Re: Government shut down killing our vacation!!!!Search out state run parks, they are open.Re: So what did you do to your Truck Camper today?Started the install on a solar powered ceiling fan. I need to find a swivel base for the panel. Probably use a seat base. Please note, maximum photo width=640Re: Trip Report - North Rim of the Grand Canyon - Sep 2013The view out the back was stunning! Thanks for the details. I went to the north rim years ago in a 2wd ford ranger. I got into some deep snow and started to slide into ditch. Got the truck out of the drift and decided to come back when it was not snowing.Re: Camper on a lifted truckI have 37x12.5-17 tires on my obs ford. No lift and just minor fender trimming. I plan to install a Sky Manufacturing shackle reversal kit that will lift the front 3 inches. I will have to level the truck with custom leaves in the rear. I hate to go higher because of overall height,(even with the pop-up) but the better ride quality will be worth it.
