You will run out of payload same as a GM or Ford 1500 series. 9000 lb 5th wheel your talking 1700 lbs of pin, plus hitch plus stuff, you’ll need 22-2300 lbs of payload minimum.Re: GM Duramax - NO Trailer BrakesTry pulling the emergency disconnect on the trailer to see if you hear the magnets, that will at least prove it to a truck problem. After that, short of a fuse problem, which is most likely but doesn't seem to be the issue in this case, you may need professional assistance. It seems to me that was where they got the "better to tow than a trailer" saying came from. What say you folks?Re: Coachmen and Traveland RV ReginaThanks for sharing a good story, most always are complaints on here. I heard good things about success as well.Re: Larger fresh water tank ?Tank in the truck and a cheap transfer pump is a good idea, if that isn't what you are looking for, the you are likely looking at a second 40 gallon tank, you'll just have to find somewhere to put it. Our Jayco has 80 gallons (2x40) plus the water heater and it tows a lot heavier when filled with 700 lbs of water in it. Plus when full the trailer runs 97% of its GVWR so watch for that too. If you fund a spot underneath and fab up a bracket, some plumbing and you will have lots of waterRe: Towing with RAM 1500your hitch weight will likely be in the 750-900 lb range. If you have a box cover or running boards, spray in bed liner, that kind of stuff, it all takes away from your 1350. you will be right at the limit but I had a 2012 Ram and it handled our trailers well, we were over weight on both however.Re: 1/2 ton towableI pull 9100 lbs with my 2015 5.3 but I also have the max tow package so it has the cooler and 3.73 gearing to help. I think you will be overweight with your rig, mine has a payload of 1985 and we run at 97% GVWR loaded for a week with 207 lbs to spare. Based on your 1180 lbs left your going to be over your GVWR. At 9100 our hitch weight is 1056 and those hitches are rated to 1200 lbs, which you will also be flirting withRe: Blue Ox Sway Pro - Does it smooth out ride in TV?Ours is comfortable, we are at 1050-1100 lbs on 1000 lb bars. I haven't used anything else with this truck and trailer so I can't say for sure if it is better, but it is definitely not rough.Re: Tire size and availabilityThanks for the replies, I'm thinking the coopers might be the way. I have run cooper a few times and have had great success. We have a tire in Canada called the AT/W that is supposed to be good in winter. Gonna have to step up a size to get the LT model though but I think that's about my best bet.Re: Can I gravity fill my on board tank? This sounds so bizarre to me. Since when do trailers not have a full tube? That's the only way we fill our trailer, couldn't imagine not having one?!?!
