Looking to buy the entire Clive Cusler (sic) series as I love his books.Re: RV ToursWe took a 28 day Baja, Mexico tour a couple years ago with Baja Amigos. Here are our thoughts: 1. The price to us seemed reasonable 2. Their tours are smaller than many, so access to all sites is good, as compared to large caravans where there is just not enough space to accommodate everyone 3. Being in a 9 vehicle caravan made traveling easy, as we communicated by 2-way radio (furnished) to alert us of road conditions, upcoming turn outs, etc Most things, to us, were favorable. There were a couple of the overnight places where we would not have chosen if by ourselves (since eliminated and replaced with more comfortable sites). We are not really drinkers, so did not participate in the wagonmaster's nightly margarita parties. Being in a small group was perfect. We were able to communicate with the wagonmaster of our concerns which were quickly addressed and remedied. We chose to do the tour to Cabo San Lucas, rather than doing it on our own, because we had never driven in Mexico, were not fluent in their language (not needed!), didn't know gas station locations, etc. if we had it to do again we would, again, choose Baja Amigos. We would not choose a caravan for anywhere in the U.S.A. or Canada.Re: camping on the beach klr650goldwing wrote: Are there any campgrounds where we could literally put our 5er on the beach for a night? Many in Baja Mexico. And most are free!!!Re: Lynden/Aldergrove Border CrossingYou will need a brake system for your toad in Canada. Or unhook it, drive it through, and reattach down the road!Re: Movie 'Megan Leavey'Just saw it yesterday. Very good! But take Kleenex as there were allergens in the air that made my eyes "leak" a little!Re: Fossit OR to Mitchell OREither way is fine. If you do go to Mitchell you need to go west then south to Chiloquin. Take your time and enjoy the trip. I grew up in Redmond and miss the high desert!Re: Shoes for RVingBirkenstocks for me as well. If/When they get dirty I use the leather cleaner I bought when I bought them. I have 2 pair, so wearing wet is not an issue.Re: Furniture for RVThis is the BEST place I have found in over 40 years of RVing: http://daveandljs.com/Re: Oregon SP looking at Flexible PricingIf this passes then why not charge more for water during hot weather, more for food when one is hungry and more for gas as your tank nears the empty mark? Just another way to get more money for no additional service(s). Any time government is involved with something the only solution is to charge more. Just my humble opinion.Re: 2 wd vs 4 wd to Alaska? No need for 4WD. Have a safe trip!
