if its a class c you are going to need edging for the front and the stairwell. i used angle iron cut welded and painted for the stairwell edge and the front edge got standard brassy looking stair edging. pull the toilette, dinette, if you have a swivel chair pull it and pull the couch and the vent covers. it makes it easier if the whole thing is as open as it can be. make sure to get enough underlayment and quarter round worked great for edge moulding. use a spade bit to drill for the bolts holding things down so they can shift as needed. a reciprocal saw and a chop saw works wonders for this. my wife wasn't all that sold on it until i got done and now loves it. easy to clean and looks great. if you want to do it on the cheap check habitat for humanity for left over laminate, i did my whole 32' c for $45.00 in flooring and paid standard for the underlayment722Views0likes0CommentsRe: Do you carry a jack? not really mechanical but annoying and age related. i have a 2002 e450 chassis with about 121,000 miles last summer i lost my dash AC, it started blowing out of the defrost vents only. this is a default for Fords so if you lose HVAC you still get defrost capability. there is a short rubber hose after the vacuum chamber powered by the exhaust manifold UNDER the ac system. 20 hour repair by the book, draw down ac, pull battery, battery tray and ac system. this hose dry rots and eventually breaks. i rerouted the PVC vacuum line and put in a different vacuum chamber under the passenger side dash. tied that into the existing system after the failed vacuum chamber. all good now. also noticed getting intermittent failures on the master window and lock switches. i have pulled and cleaned them once but may need to r&r this year.322Views0likes0CommentsRe: Wifi booster and antenna
if you want your own cell based hotspot i bought into unlimitedville a couple months ago. we live out in the sticks and had 750 kbp up and down dsl. i got the sprint plan on unlimitedville for $100.00 a month and have about 2 bars of service and average beween 4-10 mbp up and down. its a small 4G wifi router they mail you . battery powered so i can run it in the rv and carry wifi with us to run the chromecast if we want to. unlimitedville has connections to all 4 major carriers and bills through paypal. as long as you are not abusive you are good to go. we look to run about 80-90 gigs of data a month what with my DW home based businesses and being cord cutters that just use netflix, hulu and prime as entertainment.676Views0likes0Comments
