Simple enough to get the correct configuration. However some of the veterans around here tend to blur the lines by saying the F250 and F350 are the same or they have the same axle, which maybe true. However if the difference is in the wheels and or tires than one needs to be sure they have the correct wheels and or tires. One needs to pay attention to all the ratings not just the advertised ratings and not just the ratings they happen to be in compliance with! Nope, it’s guys like you and spud who make it blurry. Like him quoting the tire thing. That’s not a thing, until Ford quits putting the same tire options on both models. Or people quit being gullible enough to buy something with lighter duty tires and then believe it’s all they can carry. Which btw, what spud quoted is wrong, although you’d have to understand tire to understand what ls wrong with his statement. It’s actually completely laughable that so many of the opinionated don’t make any effort to be well read before opening their virtual mouths (keyboards). Lol. I will correct my F350 GAWR with my 275/65 tires. It’s 6780lbs. My bad. In my case the tires dictate my GAWR. My GVWR is still 11,500 regardless of the tires. I’ll refrain from responding to the insults. Hope your wife is feeling better. Depends on terrain and wind.Re: Ford Gas 6.2 vs 7.3 manley wrote: theoldwizard1 wrote: The 7.3L has been out for a couple of years now. It should be past any "birthing pains". You definitely want the 3.73 axle. If you tow in the mountains much you probably should get the 4.10. if you stick with the F250, you will likely have to add helper springs. That is NOT an option with the 7.3. It is either the 3.55 or the 4.30. Maybe a bit of clarification. This is not the case with the F350. 3.73 is the standard rear end for all gas engines, 4.30 optional.Re: Ford Gas 6.2 vs 7.3Think you're pushing the limits of the 6.2. Another consideration is 6 vs 10 speed transmission. If you go with a F250 with the 6.2, you get the 6 speed. F250 with the 7.3, you get the 10 speed. If you get a F350, you get the 10 speed with both engines.Re: truck weight F350 diesel2018 CCSB 4X4 Diesel. 11,500 GVWR 3,850 Payload 7,850 WeightRe: Your RigThanks folks. Always bugs to work out with new rigs though. Fridge had been on gas for 20 hours since last evening and never cooled down. After the 20 hours the burner shut off. Back to the dealer Monday. Ruined a planned week long fall getaway. After 8 RVs, this is my first Norcold fridge. Not a good first impression. SRe: Your RigTraded our '16 Outback for this '22 Reflection 337RLS. Think we're going to be happy with it. Re: Helper springs or air bags?A properly setup WDH will not cause the rear to sag. You need to put more weight on you bars. Once that's done they need to be parallel with the road. Might need to adjust the hitch head angle to accomplish that.
