If, by 'residential', you mean a refrigerator which runs on AC only, you are headed for trouble. I doubt that any 'residential' refrigerator would have a battery option, but, in any event, forget about running any refrigerator off the batteries (whether the unit is being towed, or is stationary). You won't be happy. The refrigerator MUST have a propane option, and it will run off the propane automatically whenever the RV is not plugged into AC. I bought a WILDCAT 29RLBS from RV WHOLESALERS in Ohio, in 2007 and never regretted my decision. My local dealer could not come close to matching the price for the identical unit, and I gave him every opportunity. Most of the electronic temperature monitors available will have a remote transmitter, so you can get a temperature reading on the monitor of both inside and outside temperatures. Look for one with a MAX/MIN feature, which will also tell you the coldest and warmest temperature measured since the last time you reset the feature.51Views0likes0Comments
