The time has come..... 67...question...Is Muley Point doable with 2 wheel drive hauling a trailer?...from the pictures I have seen, looks like it might be a little sketchy with my setup,Re: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photosAm I correct in assuming that everyone has probably changed out their roof vents. I have been reluctant to, as I thought the original 2 crank vent was so unique and original. I installed a 7" fan in the opening however it just doesn't move much air. I am thinking I might have to get realistic and instal a maxxair. unless someone has another solution to keeping the original vent. might get warm up there on Muley Point..Re: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photos67avion great news....happy for you... rastaRe: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photosFlyre63....Thanks a lot...I had forgotten about all the extensive work you did on yours..so I will be sure to check it out.. 67avion...I panicked at first read of your post till I got to the part about you still getting it repaired..awesome... I can see it now...around the campfire..the aroma of jerk chicken in the air, listening to your tales... cheersRe: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photosGary,,,,I may just try a regular house lock as a last resort, the hole in the door is square I may have to use some kind of backing plate. I would really want to maintain the 30 amp outside Socket. Just concerned that once removed I wont find a replacement of the appropriate size. D1trout..I already have a deadbolt lock on the door. My concern is that the bargman lock has the potential to lock you out inadvertently. Was wondering if a version of the modern RV type lock could be adapted to work.Re: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photosMy Avion is a 65 C10....I am wondering if anyone has found a replacement lock for the rear door. I am nervous that the old bargman lock will quit on me at the wrong time, as it has happened to me on another camper. Also I recently took apart the 30 amp plug on the outside, I was not very impressed with the sandwich type design for the wire connection. I was tempted to take the whole assembly out however decided to leave it as the mounting screws I am sure will put up a fight and since I am unsure of exactly what size cut out there is behind it,it may be best to not go down that rabbit hole, no pun intended. Has anyone replaced their outlet with a suitable newer style. gotta get everything just right for Muley Point rastaRe: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photosThat's great news, I would bet you are anxious to get it back again. I hope it will be good as new when you do Happy new year to all....maybe this year will be the year it happens Muley Point....Muley point.Re: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photosyeh Mon!....Re: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photos67...that was a had fall you took buddy, sorry to hear. However with that positive attitude you carry around with you, you be back like new in no time at all.. rastaRe: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photosYes...Muley Point!....Muley Point... BTW... I know when word got out that I had mounted my C10 on a tandem trailer, I was considered somewhat of an outcast. The red headed cousin. However after getting everything loaded and in place for a trip. (which is the mode the C10 has been resting at,all that is needed is groceries) Not having the camper in the back of the truck creates so much available space. Not only can I carry my Yamaha TW200 under the bed overhang, plus a large locking metal box, but there is still room to carry stuff under the wings. And if that was not enough I still have the entire pick up bed.... And to top it off...My Tundra pulls it like it is not there. Function over form, mon
