Today, I am mating the Reese 30049 slider to my Reese 16K hitch and intend installing on Husky rails that were in my truck when I traded for it. The Reese install instructions says my slider must be used with Reese Universal rails! Not sure why this is? My suggestions for you include insuring your slider is well lubed: lithium grease sprayed on the leaf spring; and dry spray Teflon lube on rollers and the tube rollers slide on. If there is interference as you seem to describe, Jimnlin has the best suggestion to call Reese. In meantime, is ithere enough "play/ slop" between slider & rails where it's possible to insert a thin shim between slider feet and base rail, of course still being able to insert the pins? ( my directions says to orient pins such that handle is on inside and clip is outside to allow slider travel) Good luck! Edit -- corrected slider p/n is 30048 Edit2 -- Correction ... I should have said: The Reese install instructions say my slider is designed for use with Reese rails.Re: Let Me Know if You Have Allison Transmission Fluid Questionsmost probably a reference to the fact that there has been no activity for a few months on this thread ... guessing that this thread is "cold & lonely" with no one posting ?
