Thanks for sharing.Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012I have a wireless backup camera that I put in the back window of my 28ft travel trailer. It works well. However, because it is an inexpensive unit I have to make sure the wires are tightly tucked away because if they jiggle to much it screws up the picture on the monitor. There are too many wire connections. What is interesting is the monitor can pick up the camera signal up to almost 100 yards away.Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012Hey Zeppe807, your taillights are obstructed and probably would be worse with a full load. I have see extensions like yours where taillights were added to the extension. Shouldn't be difficult. Your project is absolutely amazing. Nice work.Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012Okay, now that is a serious but very practical mod. I am not a boondocker because I am always worrying about battery usage. What a great solution. Nice mod!Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012Wow! Some really great ideas. Nice job on everything.Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012Ha, Ha, Ha ......DUCK!Re: Back-up camerasHard wiring is ideal because there is no signal interruption. However, with a TT it is a long reach and has too many connections to go wrong. As long as you have a clean site line the wireless ones are great. They are also easy to move around or change to another vehicle.Re: Back-up camerasI have a Tadibrothers wireless backup camera I put in the back window of my trailer because I didn't want to drill holes. Wired it to a light over the sink. It works great for monitoring traffic behind and backing up.. I did have to get long range antennas for it to be able to monitor it in my tow vehicle because of the length. Because my monitor has two inputs I just added a second wireless camera over the hitch receiver for hooking up. I really like my setup. Have about $350 invested.Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012I'll try to take and post pictures.Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012I also have the mini blinds in my trailer and like that you can adjust the light through them. I made "window blankets" for my windows that fit right over the blinds. I used Warm Window liners. I travel through Michigan and Illinois in the winter so the "blankets" help to stop heat loss through the windows. I leave them tied up most of the time. However, I have the setup easily enough to take them down if I want more window view.
