I have owned both for over 40 years and just keep good coolant in them. They must have made them good back then!Re: 83 and have hung up the keysIt is sad to have to give it up but sometimes there is no choice. We are 78 and have been camping and RVing all of our married life. My wifes health has caused us to quit traveling. We still have the MH but have only used it for 3 days the last 2 years at a family reunion at a county park about 40 miles from our home. I sure miss going to Texas for a bit in winter and to Montana or Colorado in the summer! The Winnebago is a 2001 with about 30k miles on it so it is not real valuable and I haven't tried to sell it. I just can't get myself to let go of it. :(Re: Parking brake will not disengageYes if it is a Work Horse P32 chassis, it has auto park. Check the oil in the Plastic oil tank in the steel box that is usually mounted underneath the coach on the passenger side behind the transmission. There is a place you can see the level and a black plastic cap to where you fill it. If it is out of oil fill it with automatic transmission oil. I carry a spare rotten green switch as they can cause trouble. If you want more information google "old used bear" he specializes in rebuilding auto park units and has a lot of info about them. Good Luck with your problem!Re: Roadside AssistanceWe had Good Sam towing for years. They towed us from Bad lands S.D. to Rapid City about 70 miles with no charge (31' Class A MH). The dealer they towed us to thought they had fixed the problem. Two days later the problem re-occurred near Kalispell, Mt. and they towed us to a camp ground on Sunday evening, then the next day they towed us to a Dealer who fixed the problem. But, when I called for for help that second time they said they would arrange the tow but I would have to pay as it was a pre-existing condition. I pointed out that they had towed us to a dealer who failed to fix the problem. They said I would have to pay but that I could appeal that decision. I did so when I got home an they paid in full! I have been very happy with Good Sam ERS, unfortunately because of age and health we can no longer use the Motor Home so I let let it expire but if we could still travel I would not leave home without it.Re: Tioga Won't Budge after long neglect. Help, please.Sounds like you are making progress! My guess is that the 3rd line is for the generator.Re: RVing in 2022I would encourage everyone to travel if they possibly can. We have reached the age where health problems prevent us from using the motor home much and I regret not using it more when we were still able. I regret more what I haven't done than what I have!!! Money is something that you can't take with you when your life is over.Re: Tioga Won't Budge after long neglect. Help, please.Glad to hear that you finally got the tow! Have you been able to get it going yet? Thanks for keeping us posted on your results!Re: Tioga Won't Budge after long neglect. Help, please. It shouldn't be that hard to tow a 24' class C. I have had our 31" class A towed twice. They had a medium sized truck that could lift the front wheels off the ground. They did disconnect the drive shaft which would also disconnect the park brake if it is behind the transmission. The first time they towed us 70 miles, the second was probably about 20. I don't know what the first tow cost as my towing insurance paid for it, the second was around $350 if I remember right. I did get reimbursed for that after I got home. We had Good Sam towing insurance. Good luck and let us know how you come out!Re: Yellowstone second thoughts. wtmtnhiker wrote: Thanks to all for the replies. You have convinced me to go ahead as planned. Good for you, Yellowstone is the most amazing park in the U.S. in my opinion! I have been there several times, the first as a kid with my folks and the last time was 2019 with my wife. We drove through from the Northwest gate to the east gate with a 30' motor home. I have always been there in the summer and have never seen a mosquito but some say they have. I wish we could go back but at 77 yrs old I doubt we will ever make it. Have fun and enjoy! Best wishes!Re: RVing in 2022 Lwiddis wrote: I’d sure rather be in my RV than a hotel room….even prior to Covid. I second that, I hate hotels and love to RV!
