So far I have had no issues with the tarp that I do have on it. No rubbing spots and no mold under it. I think I maybe lucky with that because mine still has good air flow under it. The roof AC holds it up so it does not hold any water on it.How do you store/ keep it clean ?I was outside today giving my little TT a bath and quick cleaning on the inside. While I was cleaning the inside I started thinking about what others do for cleaning and storage. One thing I hate is when I step into a camper that smells bad! For the outside.... I would like to get a full cover for mine but for now I keep a tarp over the top of my TT. It does not cover the whole trailer but it does keep all the tree **** off of the top at least. It is big enough to cover the roof and come about 24" down the sides all the way around. (We have a lot of trees in our yard.) It also allows me to still wash and enter the camper whenever I want. One more plus is that it is very cost effective. I would also like to throw some wax at mine. I have not done that yet. I have had some people tell me there is no need to wax mine. (It is an aluminum sided Jayco.) But I still like the idea of rubbing some wax over the camper. It certainly can not hurt to do it. On the inside.... I keep a small bucket of Damp Rid on the counter. I also keep a very small fan fan on the floor that I leave on. It moves just a little air in the camper and I think it helps keep it from smelling stale inside. Other than that, I just keep it clean on the inside. Anybody have tips or tricks for keeping their camper looking and smelling good?Re: Lack of DocumentsThe more I think about it, I probably wont mess with one without a title unless it's the perfect camper for a project. I was just curious as to what all you thought or if any of you had actually perused one like that. I have ran across a couple like that and the sellers tried to play down not having a title. One lady tried to tell me that it was not needed and was not like a car in SC so she could just write me a Bill of Sale and that was it. But yet she could not tell me who she had gotten it from in the first place or where it came from. So I have just been passing on that stuff so far. I am wanting to replace our pop-up with a travel trailer of some sort but the build quality or current condition of most for the money makes me want to look more into rebuilding one so I know its built tough and will hold up. But then again, I really dont have the time to build one either. So right now I am just doing homework on differnet campers or possible routs to take with one. Thanks for your thoughts!Lack of DocumentsHey everyone. Just a general question here.... Been looking around for my next camper. One of the things I have considered doing is finding an older camper that needs a lot of work/restoration and build it like I want it. I have run across several that the owners say they have no title or paperwork and have no clue who's name the camper was in last. Normally I will not mess with something like that, trying to chase down all the paperwork to make something legal but I am wondering how hard is doing that with a camper? Is it just something I should pass on or is it worth perusing if I ran across the perfect project camper other than missing paperwork? I am in South Carolina and with all cars, bikes and watercraft, they are pretty strict on titles and it all has to be correct if it is going to be put on the highway. Thanks ahead of time!
