Does anyone know how pets are handled on the ferry to Newfoundland? I checked the web sight but didn't find anything. We would not want to leave our Shih Tsu in the van alone for the trip.Canadian MaritimesWe've never been there what can you tell me? In particular my dear wife and DK9 both have trouble with the heat so in July or August do we need the AC or can we do with out it? Is it crowded? Do we need reservations? If we can't make it in the summer is September nice? Anything or any place we should not miss? I'm full of questions and thankful for any info.Canadian MaritimesThis topic has been moved to another forum. Shortly after getting it We drove it to Florida and found that on a hot day after driving around that if we stopped in a parking lot and started the generator and then the air conditioner after a few minutes the generator would begin surging and then fail and would not restart. I took it back to the dealer where I bought it and he attempted to fix it by replacing the carburetor which did not help. This proved to be an intermittent problem which seemed to be related to hot weather but if I started it in our driveway on a hot day for exercise it would run the AC with out difficulty. On the other hand if we were on the road and stopped for gas and lunch at a Flying J we could not depend on running the generator and AC. Then I attended the Roadtrek International Mid-Winter Rally in Orlando Florida, the Onan seminar was given by Mike Potter the owner of Noah's Ark of Cocoa Florida. On a later trip I took my Roadtrek to his shop. First I was impressed when I called for an appointment and while describing my problem, Scott the service manager told me of some common symptoms which sounded very like mine. He said it was a well known problem that the Onan 2.8 could have problems which are caused by the electric fuel pump the Onan 2.8 has and which can overheat and stop until it cools. When I went to the shop the technician started the generator and the AC and we took the van for a ride and luckily even though it was only 85 degrees out after about 10 minutes the generator failed and would not restart. On returning to the shop he found the generator would start if directly supplied fuel useing a spray can into the carburetor and so was convinced the fuel pump was the problem. On removing the old pump he noted the dark color of the pump and some spots that appeared black or charred and he commented that it looked as it had been overheated and showed me the new pump which was bright. This may not be your problem but my Onan 2.8 has run fine every since the fuel pump was replaced. Bill Dillinger 190 Popular 05/06 Rockville MDRe: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?I gave the motor and the wheels about 45 minutes of exercise and fired up the generator and heat pump for about an hour and a half. I am hoping that will keep it content until the next trip.Re: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESSThank you MrWizard! I downloaded the Motorola 64 bit driver from the Web site which he provided and then followed his instructions and manually set up a connection to Verizon from my Windows 7 computer. It works! Following his instructions I copied the information from the old XP computer. The main things needed was the user name and the dial up number. Since this process was not too difficult I do not understand why Verizon doesn't set it up for us. I got used to having VZaccess tell me what my usage was. Now I don't have that information. This may not matter as when we are traveling I am not a heavy user but I still felt it was comforting to know. At least I can get online with my new computer now and can carry it with me while traveling.Re: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESSI'll see if I can figure out how to follow Mr. Wizard's instructions but maybe I'll have to look for a new phone. Hate to spend the money but what is the cheapest phone that will tether Win7 to Verizon?Re: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESSI don't have a Cingular account so guess I am stuck with Verizon. I sure am disappointed.Re: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESSI have been tethering my Windows XP laptop to the internet with my Motorola RAZR V3m cell phone using VZaccess. Now I have bought a Windows 7 computer but Verizon does not seem to have a version of VZaccess for this phone. Their site says "check back later". Is there some way I can use my new computer with Verizon? I sure hate to buy a new phone.
