Was looking to purchase one for my slide out and this brand is approximately $100.00 higher then other brands. Wondering if it was worth the extra or if other brands were just as good in quality.Re: rear kitchensJust my 2 cents, we have a 27 foot Aspen Trail with the rear kitchen. Wife loves the big window over the sink and plenty of storage. I have never experienced any towing problems or weight distribution problems. As others have said, to me the island in some campers is wasted space but that's just me.Took the PlungeDecided to take the Diesel plunge, purchased a 2016 Ram 2500 with the Cummins diesel. I traded in a Ram 1500 with the gas burner Hemi, but no comparison to how the Cummins pulls. Might have an issue with the height on the WDH but its only two inch's higher hooked up.Re: Ram Truck OwnersYes I'm currently running ten ply tires with 45 PSI. The dry weight of the camper is approx. 5200 lbs.Re: Ram Truck OwnersYes I'm using the Reese hitch system and it has sway bar attachment which I use.Re: Ram Truck OwnersOh Lord I did open a can of worms lol. I have a 2014, 1500 pulling a 27 foot Aspen Trial. Its mainly on the freeway and its not trailer sway I can feel it in the rear end. The sway is not bad but I can feel it every so often especially when being passed by larger trucks. I also added ten ply tires which handle the load a lot better then the factory Firestone tires did. And the reason I said poor design I have owned a lot of pickup trucks over the years and I am a dodge fan, but he coil spring design is not as good for heavy hauling as leaf springs in my opinion.Ram Truck OwnersHas anyone had experience with the Hellwig rear sway bars. With the poor rear end suspension design by Dodge I feel a little sway in the rear end when towing my TT. Was wondering if they were worth the money. Thanks Sgt MarkRe: Equalizer HitchThanks everyone, I will hook up my TT this weekend and do some measuring and place the saddle brackets correctly. The season is upon us and I do not want to be grounded by poorly maintained equipment lol.Equalizer HitchForgive me for not knowing the correct terms but the hooks that are located on the tongue of my TT that the equalizer chains hook to are not even. One is positioned about three inches further back then the other. It was like that when I purchased it. My question is do I need to move one to match the other or is the position of both ok to pull. Thanks
