Inverter GeneratorI suspect most of people who brag that HFT are not good enough for them, have relatively no tools but on the rare occasion when they actually do buy a tool , they want a status symbol. Many probably would not recognize a harbor freight tool. They probably just think if its a loud generator, it must be harbor freight lol. You have to have more money than brains to buy expensive tools that you're only going to use a few times a year, and I have plenty of HFT electric and air tools that are more than 10 years old. I have more than a half a dozen hydraulic jacks that works perfect and are more than 10 years old. now I will sayI will never buy another cordless tool from Harbor Freight .and still work fine even on the original brushes.I have a bucket full of brand new brushes because they always give you an extra setRe: Harbor Freight Tools... Inverter GeneratorI went on the Cabelas website and thechampion 2000 watt inverter generatorsaid it was rated at 65 decibels which surprised me. somebody has just got to buy one of these things and tell us how they like it.At least with HFT I guess you can buy it and take it back if you don't like it without much hassle. I wish it was parallel capable thoughRe: Harbor Freight Tools... Inverter Generatorharbor freight does not make anything, they sell some good stuff and some junk, the question is has anyone bought this inverter generator?Re: Harbor Freight Tools... Inverter GeneratorHarbor Freight 2200 Watt Inverter Generator Has any one bought and used one of these yet? About 2 HP and 40CC bigger engine than the Champion 2000 Watt. They don't say any thing about paralel capability and no RV type of plug, That would be nice but maybe not a deal breaker. I'm tempted to try one but there are few reviews of this yet.Re: Again...the Closed "AZ" post....Well, I can understand deleting disrespectful replies, but why render the original post useless to the rest of us?Re: Again...the Closed "AZ" post....It looked like a good legitimate post to me. What is so terrible about spending a winter in AZ?Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. Thanks Professor, I never thought about Amazon for this. After I put it in my cart, they showed this, http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-Cable-Generator-Adapter-Splitter/dp/B000IUL9P2/ref=pd_luc_sim_00_02_t_lh Can you see any disadvantage to that. It's a little cheaper but not as neat of a package and I don't know if I need 2 plugs. I have both in the cart while I think about it.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. I believe this is a 25 Amp 120 volt receptacle. It's pretty much wasted for me because I have nothing with this kind of plug, Lowes or Home Depot have no adapter to make it a normal plug. Does any one know where I can get an adapter to make this 25 amp plug useable. The other normal plugs are only 15 amps.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.I hear you Professor, and agree. Its funny you used your leaf blower as an example. My Polan is doing the same thing but if I put the choke about a 1/4 on , it winds out good , for now any way.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. Here's what I did to my Champ and it now starts the AC and only struggles for a second or 2. Please tell me if you think I did something that could hurt the RV appliances or the Champ; and if not you could let me know too. Before the Champ ran about 3650 RPM with no load and dropped to 3450 with a 1500 watt load. I turned the no load RPM to about 3800 RPM and now with the 1500 W load it drops to about 3600 RPM I also turned up the voltage from 120V to 124 Volts. I watched the volt meter while the AC compressor kicked in. It dropped to about 117 volts at start up for a couple of seconds , the AC started and the volts went back to 123-124. I have ordered the SP6E for one AC but I would feel better if you knowledgable guys, and especially our Professor, would 'bless' these changes I have made to the Champ. Don't forget, I live in Colorado and often camp at 9000' , maybe a little higher. Much cooler up there but less oxygen and horsepower.
