Check the high temp t-stat 'reset' In outside compartment is PUSH TO RESET button above gas valve. Good chance it tripped. Only other thing would be a blown main fuse in DC DIST Panel for the water heater WAIT A MINUTE: This 'dry fire' issue is SAME thing back in Sept of 2015 Did you dry fire AGAIN....or did you just ignore the responses from 9/7/15 Last years post ----SAME issue! :S no not the same issue figured that out .this is something else.Re: waterheater wont fire, lost led controlsorry the gas side is not working.Re: broken water heater, wont fire 2oldman wrote: any water in it? Are you getting spark? I'm not sure, maybe there is a reset if the tank gets too hot. it has what seemed like two reset buttons ,it didn't work.what ignites he gas and how does it know when to ignite? The gas is ignited by a spark generated by the control board when the thermostat says the water is cool. The control first opens the electric gas valve then generates the spark. It then monitors the flame (via thermocouple) to insure it has lit. If it has not, it will shut off the gas valve. ok switch on control panel is on, LED indicator light is off., I have gas.its not firing .what could cause it to not fire after firing it on a dry tank?Re: gas side of water heater wont ignite WyoTraveler wrote: Watch the ignighter while your wife throws the switch. Electric side should be burned up...if you turned it on without water in the tank. That is incredible and hard to believe. Your tongue weight is likely over the 500# rating of your hitch and needs WD for that reason alone. Look here you might know more than I do. Look here
