For the fishing rods I installed two 4inch square fence post under the TH, I keep 3 surf rods in there maybe one for the kayak too. That would be sweet, I'd love to see them! We have a few 9' surf rods but they break down. I do want to do the whole fence post sewer pipe mod but the whole underbelly of our trailer is all sealed up so I'll have to find an anchor point somewhere.Re: Toy Hauler ModsThanks guys! The wine and rod holders were definitely my favorite/most purposeful mods so far :) lighting was the most difficult/frustrating being that I have zero electrical experience. But now I have a whole new list of things I want to tweak... Thanks to this forum, I don't think that list will ever get shorter.Re: Toy Hauler Mods Strabo wrote: Dont be a generator hatr, use it or lose it. It's an onboard, so I can't exactly lose it, and being an onboard, it's so loud you can barely hear the dang TV with it on. I think Onan was making jokes when they named it a micro quiet.Toy Hauler ModsSo, many thanks to everyone on here that helped with my many questions over the last 6 months or so, here are the mods I have completed to date! I used a 3 5/8" hole saw for reference. Next I plan to build some upright bottle storage in the cabinet above for shorter/squaty bottles. Sorry for the poor photo quality, it was dreary day here in California yesterday so it was difficult to get good lighting. edit: Not sure why tinypic rotated my photo, I apologize for that as well. Re: Outdoor LED light strips at really low cost hbrady wrote: I'm thinking about doing this to my TT but I have a couple of questions for folks who have installed them. -How did you attach strips under trailer, some type of glue or screws (I have an enclosed belly)? -How do you power lights, jump off outdoor light switch perhaps? Thanks all. I have also been looking into this, I saw that a lot of guys have been using the clear Gorilla tape to attach the light strips. For power, it seems tapping into the porch light is the preferred option.Re: Getting 4 New TiresI'm in Northern California but I had mine changed at America's Tire. It looks like they have some shops down in socal near Orange.Re: Need Help With Brand Decision ThomasFour wrote: Mrs. O'Mordha wrote: We have a Pacific Coachworks TH, the Powerlite 27 FXBL and I cannot say how happy I have been with the customer service. We had a few issues with the cabinet doors warping, snap on window covers failed and the fuel pump gears swelled up. We didn't want to take our TH to the dealer to have the work done (3hr drive) so Pacific Coachworks shipped me all the items I needed to replace them myself, and on my own time. The warranty items were all very minor as well. Your comment about "fuel pump gears swelled up" caught my eye. We are in Phoenix area and our fuel pump does not work (locks up and blows fuse) when its hot. As soon as the weather cools, the pump works fine again. I've never bothered to explore the cause much because I just deal with the fact I can't pump out fuel when its over 90 or so.... Any insight from your experience? Yeah, it's a very common problem with the gears as they are plastic, it happened on our last TH as well. It's only like $20 for new gears and not hard to replace, there is a ton of information on these forums if you do a search, which is where I learned of the fix. I think I also read that the red fuel stabilizer is believed to cause more swelling than the green?? I think your problem sounds different though, when our gears swell, the motor still runs and fuses are all good just no fuel comes out.
