Mine has a 10 inch I beam frame, which is what Montana used to have. They went to 12 inch so they frame can hold up with the MUCH longer styles they now have. Used to be, the longest was about 38-39 feet. Now that is the shortest (or close).Re: PullRite hitch - repaired damaged componentI found them to be extremely helpful with problems. Also they gave me a hitch plate when I stopped by - my dealer installed the wrong one!! I think that is about $100.Re: Longest fifth wheel at most Yellowstone Campgrounds?I stayed at Fishing Bridge with a 34 ft fifth wheel. I BARELY fit. When I left I had to pull forward about 5 ft into the 'woods' in front of the campsite (on the other side of the road)to get back out of the site. I now have a 38 ft fiver so am pretty much out of luck in Yellowstone. Staying in the park does save about an hour or 1 1/2 hour drive time tho. And to me is worth it if you fit.Re: TPMS with internal sensorI have the TST (I think). I got the removable ones that just screw on and you can replace the batteries. I have a 38 ft. fifth wheel and just leave the sensor on the center console. It works fine - maybe once in a while it drops the passenger rear sending unit/tire, but just hold it up for a minute and it is back. They have an extender you can put in the back window or in the front of the fiver by the battery if you need it.Re: AC temp in 5er compared to outsideI read a post somewhere where the guy sort of experimented. He found the biggest heat source is the roof of the slideouts. Not much insulation there. So slide toppers is the first thing, tho expensive, I guess. If you are staying put for long periods, I suppose you could put some sort of insulation (styrofoam?) on top of the slides. I am not sure what was next, but pretty sure in our unit the large back windows lets a LOT of heat thru.Re: Clunking Pullrite hitchCall their customer support. They have great service. Gave me a free hitch plate when the dealer installed the wrong one - said "You already paid once, so we will give you the right one". (I stopped at the factor in Indiana). There are many different plates, so check with them as to the proper one you need.Re: Roof problemsI believe the roof membrane is NOT glued down at all. That is why there are so many air bubbles in our units. I think they are held down by the trim piece on all sides. So if the membrane is too short and pulls out from the front, you get what is shown in the picture.Re: Discolored Propane tank doorI believe on the Montana Owners site I have seen others talk about this discoloring. So I don't think it is just you. Maybe check there - search for Montana owners website.Re: leak on slide outI believe slides slope downward to the side too. So if it isn't level that way, it could run in. And no the seals are not air (or water) tight.Re: 6V battery weightI had to install new batteries 2 years ago. The old ones were about 5 years old and had been filled many times with 'slop' running around the top. So I lifted the battery out and kind of used my thigh to catch it before lowering it to the ground. About 2-3 hours later I started to notice white spots and then holes in the pants! I learned a lesson there!;)
