To Kill A Mockingbird author Harper Lee is from Monroeville, if you are a fan. The famed courthouse is a museum.Re: AT&T Unlimited LTE Hotspot $20 without AT&T phones MrWizard wrote: there are some $29.99 ATT plans on Ebay there is a thread in this forum, where i posted info Link?Re: A picture is worth a thousand words! carringb wrote: Trackrig wrote: It's interesting that on the third accident that the guy was towing an empty car trailer when it happened. Bill Looked like maybe that flatbed had been modified with a tail extension? The tail end wasn't the same material as the rest, but it didn't look like a dovetail. Might have had negative tongue weight from the mods? I thought that trailer had a low stack of lumber on it. The long lumber would have greatly reduced the tongue weight and made the trailer unstable.Re: Adding a gray water bypass?I have been camping for twenty years but I find the need to ask... What are "gray water facilities"?Re: An awning questionThanks OP, I too have had this issue and it is (but shouldn't) drive me crazy. Just to be clear, I have a problem with the UNDER SIDE of the awning. The side you see when you are sitting under it. I believe that is also what the OP is referring to. I have tried a great many products and can never get the stains removed let alone keeping it clean. I will try the Tilex and rolling back up to sit a spell.Re: USPS Forwarding ProblemsI lock my mailbox closed. I also tape the mail slot so nothing can be shoved in. I Lock my front storm door so nothing can be stuck in there either. After first year I came home and found an old, extremely weathered, Sales flyer hanging out of my mailbox. I spoke at length to my mailman about it and he finally admitted that HE put it there as a "flag" to other fill in carriers not to leave mail there. (?????) I WAS FURIOUS. It took me quite some time to make him understand that that flyer was also a "FLAG" to N'er-do-wells that no one has been home in a long time and therefore will not miss all of their copper plumbing, etc. Anyway, I spoke with a new letter carrier the other day and she shared with me that other residents on her routes ALSO complained of NOT getting mail. FWIW...Re: Warning - Perry GA WallyWe came home from snow birding 2 weeks ago and stayed overnight at a Walmart in Mansfield, Ohio. They have signs up saying "No Semis". We asked and were told that RVs were OK and told us where to park. As always, ASK before you park.Re: Going south IN the winter...My first year "snow-birding" we had to leave after Christmas. I was not going to chance it! I found a place in Kentucky that would store my camper for $1. per foot/ month. I drove it down in late October. $40. for Peace of Mind. The following year we were able to leave early December. I watched the weather CLOSELY! We ended up leaving 3 days early because of storm warnings. We got out just in time. The day after we left there was a 100 car pile-up on I90 west in Erie, PA. It is ludicrous to think you can control any vehicle on icy roads let alone driving a set-up you are less experienced with. BTW - Even when we leave in early December, I monitor the weather for my entire route from Rochester, NY to at least Georgia. After all, I could leave NY in nice weather and drive right into an ice storm in Southern Ohio for example. When you do, patronize the business, or donate reasonably to the non profit as a thank you. Then those free places will not be hanging a no overnight parking sign. This is NOT necessarily true. In New York we have ZONING. A great many towns and cities will not allow any overnight parking (even cars) in most parking areas and/or streets. The op said parking someplace where they would not be told to move.Re: Had to stay in hotel anyways ronday wrote: Being from northern NY nothing is open in March. I remember traveling south in April and had to wait for the campground to snow plow a lot for us in Penna. Traveling north from Florida in April it is always difficult to find a campground open. Ron Day ^^^ THIS ^^^ When we are driving home from Florida, we overnight in Walmart parking lots (KY & OH) near the interstate. No campgrounds open north of Georgia this time of year.
