Thanks though for the reply. I use the Andersen Ultimate in my 6.6' bed Duramax. With a Double Cab, the bed is a so called "Standard Bed 6.6ft". With a Crew Cab its a "Short Bed 5.5ft". My Pinbox is the MorRyde Rubber Pin Box and I must say the ride is great and I always recommend that combo. When I last spoke to Andersen about the MorRyde compatibility they advised it is their best combo but the Andersen Ultimate works fine for just about any hitch EXCEPT the Reese Revolution. For the Reese Revolution you must tow with the Revo in locked position such that the pivot point is over the ball and not at the Revo's pinbox spinner. When parking or in narrow turn situations it is ok to unlock the Revo but you just shouldn't do your regular towing with the Revo unlocked.Re: Under Bed StrutsRecommended: Click here Suspa 20" 120# GasProps $19 pair free ship Amazon BACKGROUND: Traded the TT for a new 2016 FR Wildcat. The mattress was super nice with a cushion top BUT.. we missed the 4" Gel topper we had in the TT. The topper came from Sam's club for $99 and even with a new cushion top mattress, when we added the 4" Gel top...ahhhh..sleep was wonderful BUT...the bed was now so heavy that the gas shocks couldn't lift it and it took 2 of us to put in or take things out from the underbed storage. SOLUTION: FR uses 80# gas pressure shocks and it turns out that replacing those with a higher pressure shock could be done without having to replace the ball-type brackets. We found the best deal on these 120# replacement shocks and now the wife can lift the bed up (and it stays up) with one hand. We considered 150# shocks but read somewhere that they might be too hard to close so we went with the 120#. Also, I was concerned that the existing brackets might be over taxed so during the installation, I loosened the brackets and applied Gorilla Super Gel (sparingly is enough) and then retightened. Let it dry and with a simple click-release-swap we pulled off the 80# and put the 120#ers in their same place. Its been 3 years and about 300 camping days since the swap out and I'm glad to report this change was a huge success.Re: CAT Scale questionWere you standing on platform 1 with trailer on 2 then maybe the 200 is you ;-)Re: Replacing house batteries in our new motorhome with AGMCheck this out YOUTUBE INDEPTH ON BATTERY JAN2019 Re: Any other gas stations giving rv's gas discounts like Pilot?Sam's Club Mastercard 5% reward on their already cheaper fuel. We do understand HOA guidelines as we currently live in a HOA restricted area, and truly appreciate the rules as it helps maintain our home value. We do believe that a small community built exclusively with RV Garages/RV Ports in far North Dallas where there is a HOA with restrictions would be successful for all of us RV/Motorhome owners. It would be built on the premise of the over-50 senior communities, but with RV garages. We are not opposed to purchasing a small residential lot and building our own RV garage home, however, this is difficult to find. If we found a residential lot in an established community, the building restrictions would most-likely not allow this type of home. Keep your suggestions coming, if you live in the North Dallas area, let us know your thoughts!Re: Blackstone 22" Griddle KitWalmart for the 17" is $74What about those houses with RV GaragesWe have just about completed our 3 year journey to camp and visit in all of the lower 48 states. As we traveled we often took a look at those southern communties in Arizona, Texas, Alabama and Florida where one can buy a small brick and mortar house with a huge garage or RV port. We live in North Texas and for all kinds of reasons we won't be moving our base from there, but why can't a builder do those RV Port homes here? So we've contacted a few and invited them to do their own surveys at the RV shows. We published our message to them in our blog. If your interested, this link will take your directly to the articles and research. Feel free to comment back here or in the blog if you like. I shopped my purchase extensively and negotiated with 4 dealers in the Dallas area and a dealer in Shreveport and one in Little Rock and one in Tulsa. The Dennis Dillon final offer was $6,000 less than the next best deal. I approached that dealer in Plano TX and asked them to match the deal plus $1,500 (my cost to go to Idaho). They would not and said that regional costs vary so much from region to region that they could not. None of the other dealers would either. I left Dallas on Friday and arrived back on Wed in my new truck.
