Re: Need 5th wheel hitch advice
Been told by several people, including the RV dealer, that I shouldn't need the slider...so I'll try a regular hitch. I can always sell it and drop a slider on the rails.

I'm looking at hitches also. I'm picking up a different truck tomorrow (2014 F250 diesel, 6 3/4 bed. And a new 2017 Keystone Sprinter 298FWRLS next Wednesday. GVWR - 12,270 on the trailer so I'm going with a 16K hitch. The short list looks like this. Anderson, Steel on rails. PullRite SuperGlide 16K on rails. B&W Patriot 16K on rails. I don't think I'll have to have a slider with the new cutaway end caps...but will find out tomorrow when I get the truck and can measure. I really like the Anderson design and weight. What size bed do those of you using it have? How far can you jackknife if you need to?

Need 5th wheel hitch advice
Need a 5th wheel hitch for my new rig. 2017 Sprinter 298FWRLS at GVWR of 12,270 to a 2014 Ford F250 SD diesel, 6 1/2 ft. bed. I think a 16K hitch will do it. Who makes a good quality hitch these days? Please give me about 3 in order. Do I REALLY need a slider? If regular, about how far can I turn with the new cut out front caps?
