Too bad, it was such a great resource and it was easy to navigate. Re: Help! Am i making the right decisionI like the Venture layout better for a a few reasons... - extra half bath. Keeps the kids out of yours. :) - viewing the TV. Nobody is craning their neck to see it. - outside kitchen looks more substantial. Having that fridge outside is great. You're going to second guess yourself to death, which is normal, so go with the one YOU feel the best about. And having already made a deal, it seems obvious which one you like better. :) Regardless, enjoy your new RV, and get out there making all those memories with the kiddo's.....which are priceless.Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Here's one on the "wee side" of things. Rear of Volvo drops 1 inch. Car and hitch aren't recommended for weight distribution, so this is how I'll be towing it, with a friction sway control for freeway trips. And yes, full weight is on the hitch. Jack is hovering above the blocks. Re: Interesting video on the Cybertruck design & designerOr........maybe just those that are interested in the truck will discuss it while those who have no interest whatsoever in it will just stay away?? :)Re: How many of you own an EV?'21 Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid. Gets 35KM on pure battery, which seems to be enough for most daily running around ( I commute to work by bus/train/bike). Recharges in 2.5Hrs, so sometimes there will be multiple charges per day....not very often. 6-7 weeks between gas fill ups. Last odometer reading was 1876KM's between fuelings. For us, the plug-in is working great. Of course, 6 months after we got this one they increased the battery range to 55Kms or so. That would be perfect for us. Like having the gas for long trips. Now, if there was only something out there with more than a 3500lb tow rating. :) Looking to find a small couples trailer to pull, so hopefully when prices settle back down we might be able to find something suitable.Re: Custom Built Travel TrailerI just inquired about a custom floorplan and he responded with a timeline of January 2026. Glad to see they're busy. Guess a decision has to be made as to whether a wait like this is worth the quality. For me it just might be.Re: Braxton Creek LXWatched the video and I get the impression that this is his first RV and the shock of not having a perfectly built trailer is a great disappointment. Unfortunately, pretty much all of his "issues" (except for the shower) could be considered as completely normal for the RV industry. Sad/disappointing/frustrating.....YES. The reality of the industry......unfortunatley....YES.Re: upgrading to mesa ridgeHighland Ridge has been around since 2014 when Jayco bought them out. Prior to that they were Open Range RV. So, they've been around a long time. BIL had an Open Range trailer and it held up well for him and his 3 sons/2dogs.Re: Real life Hybrid towing experiencesThis is what we ended up with. :) Volvo XC60 Recharge. Tow rating of 3500lbs. Pup ups will be what we'll tow. Trust me, I know ALL about the numbers, so don't worry. ;)Re: Real life Hybrid towing experiences"If your choice of SUV will be a daily driver and your expectations are that you'll get better mileage commuting and have the ability to tow a small trailer, than your expectations should be met. " That's it in a nutshell. Have no illusions that towing MPG would be any better than a conventional SUV. I gave up on the "what's my towing MPG calculation going to be on this leg of the trip" a long time ago. I'm camping, so what it costs to get there is what it costs to get there....no worries. :)
