If yes, try it with them closed - I bet you'll have less odor.Re: K&M ResortsMy late wife and I bought a basic membership about nine years ago, while in our early 40s, and upgraded it five years ago. She was a sucker for a slick sales pitch. We used Ocean Mist quite a bit, and I still do. Great park, and other than 4th of July or clamming weekends, I've never had a problem getting a beach loop site. Ocean Breeze is like a **** car with a new Maaco paint job. It looks great 'til you get in. Stayed there before KM bought it, I hope they've fixed it up, but don't know. Diamond Point is nice, but seemed to have many full-timers who owned lots before KM bought the park. Its club house looked like the private craft room of a couple of the women there. Ponderosa is great, IMHO. Loved it a few years back. My "home park" is in Elma - drove through once, don't know why anyone would stay there. Haven't visited the others yet. It's a mixed bag. For us, Ocean Mist sealed the deal. I can get there in a little under 2 hours. I've gone with the whole family, solo now that I'm widowed, and with a date. Good beach access, close enough to Ocean Shores or Seabrook for dinner, and I've always liked the hosts. I don't know if they still do pancake breakfasts or homemade cinnamon rolls. We really enjoyed that social aspect of the park.Re: Whats this leaking hose? Walaby wrote: Saw a pic on another site of a similar hose with a cap. It was for freshwater drain. So, I suspect you (and those who said that) are correct.. and it's just missing the cap. Mike My money is on that. My 2014 Denali has no valves on the end of the drains (my '08 Jayco had valves), just caps, and the hoses look like yours. I bought PVC ball valves at Lowes to put on mine.Re: Solo camping Yellowstone and ? in September kknowlton wrote: Glacier is on fire right now. This may not be the best time to go there. True...I'm in West Yellowstone right now, YNP for the next week. After that, who knows?Re: LP hoses, not pipes? Old-Biscuit wrote: Cut a three sided window in underbelly material for access to area. THANK YOU!!!LP hoses, not pipes?Started work installing an Olympian Wave 8 in my 2014 Denali...found a few changes from how my '08 Jayco was built. First, the low pressure gas doesn't get distributed in copper or iron main piping - there's a rubber hose that runs down the curbside frame rail with manifolds wherever there's an appliance and other rubber lines run up into the trailer to the appliances. Second, the plastic enclosing the underbody is pop riveted on, not screwed on. I'm planning to mount the heater on an interior wall toward the rear road side, nowhere near any of the manifolds or existing hoses, because it's the ideal place for radiant heat to reach the entire coach, and there's no other place nearly as useful. So, my plan is to disconnect the existing bbq pigtail from its manifold toward the front and run a new flexible line back to where I will then drill a hole to run the hose inside and connect it to the heater, then seal/insulate the entry points. Since I can't drop the plastic underbelly, I'll drill a small shallow hole as a pilot and look inside to see if I'm going to hit anything important (unlikely in that spot). What am I missing? The location is nowhere near any known plumbing or electrical lines, though I worry about the gray water tank...Re: Solo camping Yellowstone and ? in September jolooote wrote: Do a circle trip. Have you seen the beautiful waterfalls between Wa. & Or. along the Columbia river gorge? Beautiful. Have you seen Mt. St. Helens & Mt. Reiner? Have you seen Glacier Nat'l Park? Well, I see Mt. Rainier almost every day from one part of town or another ;) I highly recommend Rainier, St. Helens, and the gorge. I may hit Glacier on the way home.Solo camping Yellowstone and ? in SeptemberHeading to Yellowstone in September. First solo trip outside western WA since my wife passed 3 years ago and damned if I can come up with many good ideas myself. Have 5 nights reserved at Fishing Bridge, but not sure where to go after. This will be my 4th or 5th Yellowstone/Teton trip and I have up to two weeks to kill. Trying to decide if I go south through the Tetons after Fishing Bridge closes on the 16th or if I go north through Red Lodge and maybe to Poulson. Any ideas for an introvert on the road alone?Re: Switching out 110/120 volt wall outlet in RVI was surprised to see how flimsy the stock outlets are in my RV. I installed one of these in the kitchen area and was fortunate there was room, but it was tight. Mine was in the bottom of a kitchen cabinet. An exterior wall would not have been deep enough for a household type outlet. Looks like the RV outlets are designed for very light use and speedy installation. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J3PMU4C?colid=1NYA4H1EJUQ14&coliid=I171FUS73NOQCV&psc=1&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttlRe: Long Trips - S&B ShutdownFor the mail, I'd suggest getting a box at a local Mailboxes Etc. or similar store. Usually mom-pop operations that would probably be very happy to hold your mail for as long as you like. I also like them because I know my packages will always be delivered to a real person and not left on my porch. Especially good if you like to order wine on line and need a legal adult to sign for it - tough when you work.
