Well we full time and made our own power cords using 6/4 SOOW power cord. This cord is rubber insulated and very soft and flexible, and lighter then the standard PVC insulated power cord. Our primary cord is 40' long and carried in a 3 gallon bucket. The extension cord is 23' and carried in our 5th wheel front compartment.60Views0likes0CommentsRe: 50amp wiring question
I believe you meant if they were to pull more the. 30 amps, not that hard to do with the A/C running. Understand that a 30 amp service is just that a total of 30’amps of useable power. Well back again, if looking at Rams, look for 3500 if planing on towing a 5th wheel. look at at least a 2013 or newer as GVWR took a big jump in 2013. if budget allows look 2015 or newer as they went back a single radiator. Something to consider is how far to look, when we were looking used the selection locally was a little thin. I went to Car gurus and set distance at 500 miles. It will actually down shift and keep slowing! Now history, our 2001 Ram 2500 CTD with NV4500 (5 speed manual) with a PacBrake EB, I could reduce speed as much as not more being pushed by the same trailer.
