Re: Towing 5th with an Andersen Hitch in Short Bed Truck
Been towing for 50 years, mostly goosenecks. The Andersen Ultimate Hitch is the best fifth wheel hitch I've used. I have a 6.5' bed, with a fuel tank/tool box combo in the front so I use the 4" B&W offset ball with my AUH without any problem. I did have to get the short internal tube (see Andersen website) because of the increased height of the B&W extension. I have the same generator and had problems all last summer. It runs off a dedicated bottle, also. The house bottle (furnace, etc.) ended up having a bad regulator, after I replaced a furnace circuit board (grr). After replacing the regulator on that bottle, I decided I'd replace the regulator on the generator bottle, and guess what? The generator runs fine! Regulators are cheap, you might try putting a new one in. These were about 10 years old and both had failed, apparently.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsPropane container not releasing propane?
This is a new one for me. I took my propane bottles off the trailer and went to town to fill them and two other bottles. Hooked everything back up, turned on the bottles (30#'s), and cranked up the generator, started normally. Went around to the house tank, made sure everything was secure and went inside to light the stove and water heater. Nothing. Screwed around for an hour, nothing. finally went back outside and started at the tank to see if I had a line problem. Long story short, the propane tank itself was not flowing any propane. Pulled it out, hooked up another tank and presto, everything lit off instantaneously. But now I have a 30# tank full of propane with nothing coming out of it. The tanks were hauled in an upright position, everything should be normal. The tank is OPD. What's going on???3.9KViews0likes21Comments
