Is that maybe the next level up in self sufficiency and isolation? Sailing along a coast could be just like driving your RV along a coast, but spending days sailing off shore, in deep water, 100s of nautical miles to your destination. I can't think of an RV equivalent. Maybe overland camping in a remote country? Sure RVing in the southwest or Alaska provides the feeling of isolation, but truly a place to bail out isn't that far away. We are just doing the opposite we are converting from sailors to RVers. The sea is challenge and destinations are plentyfull (now after 3years in med, several ocean corssings etc.). Now we have decided that we want to do the travel over-land. and maybe do own youtube channel about the opposite switch :-))) To the subject, i dont watch much of these, but my DW is watching all of the above mentioned me not as much, cant be bothered with "Relaity TV" i think my own life is too important to waste it on watching others.Re: Domicile / mail servicesthank you all for your insights, i know escapees are much more, i was just thinking that, because they are so big and have so many activities, if they still have this personal touch as ma & pa in SD have.Re: Domicile / mail servicesNooooo :-) its an example my question is if the big ones also do that extra step as small providers do.Re: Domicile / mail servicesThis was meant more in line of services one can get from either, eg. that help with my lost DL. If the big clubs would be also open to help to its customers/members with things that are slightly outside of the standard. I am happy with services that i am getting, just wanted to discuss this someone who is more experienced than me. I am not bothered about health insurance as i am paying one already that covers me all around the globe. (although i am now waiting 2 years for payment for treatment i got in Prague after stepping on rusty nail :-))) )Domicile / mail servicesI work with this nice lady over at Americas Mailbox. They are helping me with everything related to domicile and mail including replacing my lost CA license (i haven't used it in last 3 years and misplaced it) with SD as well as we have now their help with our MH registration and all the other related issues. But here comes my question, how about clubs like Escapees would they offer same services as this independent provider ? I know they have mail forwarding, and legal advice, can we get same help with DL for exaple etc. ? Also how many of you using similar independent provider vs. big clubRe: trip plannerI use ROADTRIPPERS it allows you to show attractions X miles from your planned road, it know some not all campsites, also have options for dinning etc. Example is ur small RT in 2014 only 3000 miles with all the interesting places we wanted to see with my friends from Belgium :-) Mind you we went in convertible and not rv so we stayed in motels and cottages at that time :-)Re: Been looking for months.....Help!For us that list is what we go by while looking and W/D is definite plus although not must. The HR Vacarioner XE 32A deffinitely has the w/d preparation (option 126) unfortunately no double-glazing otherwise this would be our first choice.Re: Been looking for months.....Help!we are searching for the same. and its not easy, i thought i had found the units we liked HR Vacationer XE 32A and Winnebago Sightseer 35G and in both cases it turned out that units either don't have other things we require (e.g. double-glazing) or are discontinued. SO we now switched to look for used ones that are already on someones lot and see where that will end. As to your requirements, HR has both w/d preparation and some layouts have opposing slides. We were also looking at Precept 32UL which i have been told can have w/d installed and 2011 Tiffin Allegro Breeze 32BR (DP) where we liked the space in Living room. basically this was our list of units we considered. : 1. Winnebago Sightseer 35G 2. Coachmen pursuit 32WC 3. Tiffin Alegro Breeze 32BR 4. Newmar Baystar 3333 5. Jayco Precept 31UL As stated above we actually wanted to order new WInnebago but its discontinued so we are now looking at used ones with this layout, and have Allegro Breeze as second optionRe: So we have decided on unit jplante4 wrote: bacil wrote: 2gypsies wrote: Here's a 2017 available: https://www.diamondrv.com/2017-winnebago-sightseer-35g-MA-i2149567?utm_source=www.rvtrader.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=dealer-click&utm_content=view-inventory-link thanks, i have contacted them already :-).
