For us the Oasis is easy access and we like the nice large sites. Re: Fifth Wheel Tag Renewal This amount decreases with each year of age, but not very fast. Re: Fifth Wheel Tag RenewalMine was $620 for a 2021 Bighorn in CO.Re: RV Queen to Regular Queen Mod Challenge: Floor Heater VentWe use this in our home to keep register from blowing heat behind the drapes on a window. Ships fromAmazon Sold by KOHUIPU Adjustable Magnetic Air Vent Deflector for Floor, Sidewall, and Ceiling Registers, (2 Pack, Clear)Re: Nebraska Hwy 2Lived in NE all of my life. It is a good road through the Sandhills and quite a few small towns along the way. Broken Bow has a good modern truck stop. It is pretty much flat country all the way.Re: La Veta Pass (Colorado) with old and heavy RV? Globy wrote: Thanks! The Poncho Springs recommendation seems lower (9000’) and less grade! Still not sure if our 99 V10 Triton can support the lack of oxygen (my husband’s concern). Do you know how the road conditions are there…good pavement, wide lanes, passing lanes, not too many sharp curves, etc? Also any info on how we can easily see road grades would be awesome! I keep looking them up road by road, pass by pass. Or use google maps to see elevation numbers (which I need a magnifying glass to read on my phone!). The roads from Poncha Springs up to Denver are in good shape and do have some passing lanes. We drive that road regularly with our 5th wheel and cut off to Colorado Springs. The elevation is partly important but how fast you have to climb and descend on grade is a big factor. LaVeta Pass from the west is not a real steep climb it is long and gradual. Overall it is not a hard pass to cross and road is good from Great Sand Dunes to I-25.Re: Toilet Fills with Water Pump OnThe valve on my toilet did something similar. I temporarily fixed it by installing a sharkbite shutoff in the line behind the toilet. Then you can fill the toilet as needed by opening and closing the valve without disrupting the water supply elsewhere.Re: Ranger Lakes CG ColoradoWe have been there and some of our friends go every year. The campground is good with electric only and water to fill you fresh tank. There is no dump station right there. The fishing is good and stocked with 8-10" regularly. You also have a good chance of seeing lots of wildlife. The last time there we saw deer, moose, and a bear in the area. You do need to make reservations ASAP. ADD: I have fished Lake Agnes and it is a beautiful lake as the video tagged below by BradW. It is definitely a challenging hike to get there but well worth it. You do have to be used to the elevation and in decent shape to attempt it as the lake sits over 10,000 feet.Re: Dicor self leveling lap sealant caused roof to rippleI had the same thing happen. There are 2 types of TPO roof and the newer one with a smooth surface on the underside will ripple with Dicor 500 series. You need to use the Ultra Dicor and solvent to clean with before applying. I used this and no problems. There is a You tube video on how to tell the difference in type of roof you have.
