First I lowered the front back to stock height and had it realigned. Still feeling the non-centered feel that needed a lot of input from me, or at least more than I was used to giving. Then I went through and measured everything again and tried different air pressure. Nothing left to do and I have to blame it on the tires now, it me for putting that size on!! I think I have come to the conclusion that the higher side wall is flexing more than my stock size tires (285/75r17 vs 265/70r17). When not towing these tires are amazing! One of my favorites for sure for highway manners and off road use. But I should have stuck with the stock size! Well we live and we learn and I won't do that again! I did make it a little better by going back to stock height in the front. I also realized that my first measurements after first installing the taller tires was not correct and I had the front of the trailer 1" higher than the rear. Small difference of course but brought it back down to rule out everything else. So I have one follow up questions to those still reading this I'm running the rears at 80 when towing and front at 60(which the truck calls for). Would going to higher psi in the front be ok? I'm guessing it would give me less side wall flex, but am afraid I wouldn't have as wide of tire patch hitting the ground at 80 up form and would lose some steering control.Re: How do you turn off the residential fridge? You bring up another question. if the new inverters are passed through does that mean once he gets to a campsite and hooks up 50 amp service that there's no need to turn off the inverter? I really wish I could have been there for the pre-purchase inspection walkthrough but work kept me away.Re: How do you turn off the residential fridge? Thanks guys! I will reach out and let him know! Figured there had to be a circuit breaker for it.How do you turn off the residential fridge? My in-laws just purchased a new 2019 Montana today. They have the residential fridge, which neither of us had before. During the walk through with the tech, they were told there was no way to turn off the fridge. Is that right? They keep it plugged into 50amp service when stored. Is there not a breaker or switch to keep it off and not running when stored? I'm not in the same state or I would go take a look. Thanks for your responses in advance!Re: Residential fridge stored with no electricity access?I was thinking about the frozen jugs to just make sure! Appreciate all the advice and responses!Re: Residential fridge stored with no electricity access?Have not purchased it yet, think it comes with one battery, but thought I might need two to make it through the night. If I can load an go without a pre cool, I might stick to one battery. I'llRe: Residential fridge stored with no electricity access?Ok, that's great news and appreciate the super fast replies! And the one battery and connection to the truck while driving should be plenty of juice to keep it running on the way to a campground.Residential fridge stored with no electricity access? So we are thinking about purchasing a new Montana High Country fifth wheel. It has the residential refrigerator. We store our camper at a storage location that has electric available on some spots, but for a higher price each month. We currently have a gas/electric fridge. When getting ready for a trip I just stop by a day or two before we leave and start the fridge on gas. That way it's fully cooled when we load the fridge the night before we leave. Will 2 31 series deep cycle batteries be enough to at least start the fridge the residential fridge the night before? Want to make sure it's cold and ready for the food when we leave. I also usually keep our trailer covered, and a small trickle solar panel over the propane tanks to keep my one current batter topped off. I guess I would have to hang a larger unit off the front of the 5th wheel cover. What are your thoughts and experience? Will two batteries run the fridge for a couple days?Re: Ridge Grapplers PSI? I have a bit of wiggle nowNot at all, I think people are misunderstanding my post about the 1" lift, or not reading back to my original post. I partially leveled it adjusted the front height of my truck. By turning the torsion bars. Before or after that I always have had my front returned to original height of the truck before hitching up the trailer. I did drop the front back down to stock level and will get an alignment again early next week. Will tow this weekend to see if it makes a difference, but I can tell you it already feels better just driving the truck empty with the front back to stock height. Will be Leaving it stock for sure! Hoping this was the main cause and that the tires are going to work, as I don't plan on buying new tires until these wear outRe: Ridge Grapplers PSI? I have a bit of wiggle nowWell I ended up praying the front air pressure back up to 60 PSI during the tow. I think 60 is where I'm going to leave it just like I used to. Now that I'm home I just at the torsion bars and brought it back to stock height in the front. we have another trip plan the short one but will still be plenty of interstate time the middle of May so I look forward to seeing how it does with the front back down. Thanks for everybody's advice!
