On the other hand, the Topaz Lake route (Monitor Pass) is NO GO for rv's your size...very steep and curvy. Have a great trip, TravelonRe: Is CA 120 Lee Vining to Manteca Do-able?We have drove this route twice, going up and coming down with our signature rig and tow with no problems. Your rig should handle it with no problems also. We then drove on west to the Pacific coast to complete our "sea to shining sea adventure." It took us 10 driving days to cover 3121 miles. For the Nevada portion we camped in Ely and Carson City. Way to go! A great adventure... a 'tip of the cap' to you. TravelonRe: Beginner RV Owners and the Sonora PassWow, Sonora Pass...good initiation to the RV World. The rest will Easy Peasy. Travel south from Reno on I580/US395 to Mindan/Garnderville about 45 miles and then take SR 88 to Stockton and then south on SR 99 to Fresno. You will not be disappointed taking SR 88. Lots of scenery. Not a lot of traffic. X 2 X3
