So how they got in there is a mystery.Re: Cleaning the carpet? We usually rent a Big Green Machine with upholstery atachments and pick up ZEP Commercial Carpet Cleaner at Home Depot. Also use ZEP Carpet spot remover prior to the carpet cleaning on those tough spots We get in the corners and hard to get spaces with the upholstery attachment and get the big areas with the machine. We then use it on the truck and any other vehicle upholstrey as well as the sticks and brick if we are there. One Day rental is 40 bucks and a gallon of Zep is 9 bucks which last forever! Spot remover about 8 bucks for a gallon and again last a long time. Been doing this for years from our Class A to TT now the 5er. It smells fresh and clean and the Big Green Machine is strong enough to pull out most sand and other garbage in the carpet. We had a small dog for years and it worked well.Re: Air conditioning in new 5th WheelRegardless of brand of RV, there maybe an issue with return air not making into the exchange correctly. On all of the RV's I have owned over the past 30 years, I have always taken the air conditioner bezel off inside and foil taped around the sides so air does not get between roof and ceiling. Only the ducting, will be allowed air if you have ducting. Also the, so called plenum between the cold air and the warm return air may need to also be foil taped to keep the air conditioner from just recirculating air that has already been cooled. If your cold air is just sucked back in the return then you are not circulating the cooled air. My last 5er I had to do that on both air conditioners. I keep an infrared thermometer handy to check the vent temps and expect a 20 degree or more differential after about 30 minutes of running it. But I would sure look at the air not being circulated right in the area just under the air conditioner on both units. My dad had a brand new Cardinal and he was having an issue with not cooling correctly. Took it in and they said was all good. I drove 5 hours to his location with my handy dandy foil tape. We took off all vents and bezels and taped the connections between the vent and pathways at the air conditioner and final destinations in the RV and now on 100 degree days, in East Texas, he is in a 68 degree RV. Just my 2 cents.Re: Anyone have a favorite RV wax ???I have been using Meguiars Flagship Marine Clearner Wax for a few years and then the Same Premium Wax. Wipe on, let it dry a few minutes and wipe off and it always left a very reflective shine. UV resistant is a plus. I wax once a year and use the Cameco Wash and Wax and it always cleans it up and shines again.Re: No Propane Flow to RV AppliancesIf you just turn on the propane valve and its to quick, it will set the emergency valve on the tank. Turn off the valve on the tank, let it set a few seconds and turn on slowly. Turn it off and do it again. This has happened to me on most every rv I have owned over the past 30 years. Again, turn off the propane on both tanks also make sure your valve near the regulator is turn the proper direction. It should be able to be set to one tank or the other or both tanks. Regardless, pressure is my be on tripping the emergency valve on the tank or the the valve is set wrong by the regulator. Sorry folks for any bad grammer, we are out camping and hard to see on phone!Re: Ice cream? No problem here keeping Ice Cream. Suggestion is to freeze a couple of small butter tubs of water and place those in the freezer after 24 hour cool down on the fridge. I know it takes up space but it will help take down the temp a few more degrees. We keep sugar free popsicles and a half gallon of Blue Bell in ours when we go camping. 105 degree weather like now.Re: Bedroom AC?Mine is not ducted. So we place a fan and blow it down the hall and stairs. Makes a BIG difference.Re: Ford F-350 hitch adapter kit uncertaintyI have a Husky 16k hitch and a 2015 F-350 with the Adaper that Old-Biscuit shows previous. Works like a charm, my rig is level. Easy in, easy out. Just made a 1500 mile trip to Big Bend, not a problem. I actually have been using this adapter in my previous 250 and moved it to this 350. Total miles pulling with the adapter is well over 15k. I would do it again if needed.Re: Low Heat OutputLast April, while Camping at Texas Motor Speedway. We had the issue of warm air but not very hot and took forever to warm. Stove seemed good, fridge on gas was good. There was a guy in the camp that was an RV Tech. He looked at it and said to go to Camping World and get a LP regulator. We did and it took care of the issue. Just a thought. Everyone talking about pressure and all kinda rung a bell.Re: 5th wheel age, how old is to oldMy DW and I were talking about this and the only downside we can see to buying older, meaning older than 8 or 9 years, is some RV Park\Resorts will not accept 10 year old and older RV's. We have never been turned away, even when we had a 5er that was 12 years old at the time. In all the RV's we have owned over the years, the late 90's to early 2000's were probably the best built and most comfortable. I would buy an older one, which means over 10 years old, if the price was right and it was in great condition.
