All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Bumper GrillWe have the Solaire SOL-EV17A (just two of us) and have been very pleased with it. Cooks well and is fairly easy to clean up. Only had it a few months, but it seems well made. One thing to keep in mind (that I had not thought of before purchasing). We camp in bear country (Colorado mountains) and are required to put the grill inside a vehicle (car/truck/trailer) at night. Our grill is free standing. I just set it on a table to use and put it in the basement at night. Easy-peesy.Re: Generator adviceShould be plenty of ideas on this, like gasoline outperforms propane. https://www.mygrandrv.com/forum/showthread.php/10431-Good-generator-recommendations https://generatoron.org/best-rv-generator/ For a generator that could be for both camper and house, I think you'd have to have at least 2 generators that could be joined together to add their power together to run essentials in the house during power outages(lights, frig, freezer, TV, Computers, small window A/C) and be light enough to carry. Weight becomes the problem when trying to get more powerful generator. Several years ago, about the time of Hurricane Ike, I went with a larger wheeled 6000 running watts generator for home during hurricane/extended power outages. I think 6000 watts is about the smallest amount of power I'd want for home, but the generators are the big heavy wheeled ones. I went with 2 smaller 75lb 2000 running watts Yamaha EF2400is that I can just lift myself to load in pickup or camper. I later added tri fuel propane/natural gas/gasoline kits to these b/c when I really wanted them to run they didn't(carbs needed pulled & cleaned, or jets replaced), even though I'd used fuel stabilizer. I'm not disciplined enough to do monthly generator run tests. I think if I ran them weekly on gasoline with fuel stabilizer I'd be just fine. My EF2400is looks pretty much like this, just has 90 degree and quick connect on propane/natural gas regulator. Gasoline out performs Propane or natural gas for producing power. https://www.ar15.com/forums/t_10_17/660331_Any_personal_experience_with_trifuel_generator_conversions_.html Some generators are for sale dual fuel, most of the smaller 2000-3000 watts have had the dual fuel conversion added. If buying generators today I'd look at Honda(supposed to have best starting surge capacity for A/Cs), Champion Power, Yamaha. The documentation and information on the Champion web site looks good. I like the manuals with parts diagrams and wiring diagrams and such. The particular generator I am looking at is not listed on Champion's web site. This one from Costco in Canada: http://www.costco.ca/CHAMPION-5500W-GENERATOR-6500W-PEAK.product.100059944.html This is a 5,500-watt electric start model, with the Intelligence. I can't find a matching model on the Champion web site and the Costco site does not give a specific model number. Does anyone know how to get the specific manual for this model? I expect it's similar to the 6,500-watt model 41351, but I would like to see the specific manual if I can. The Champions are all made in China, it seems. Any obvious quality problems with them? Are the engines from any particular known OEM? Are they standardized in any way? If Champion pulls out of the market or drops models, do you suppose I will be able to get a Golden Lucky Singhua Brand (or whatever) low-oil cutout switch (or whatever) in 10 year's time? Thank you in advanceRe: FlashlightThis revivew should help you to pick what suitable for your needs! Personally I'm fine with ThruNite TC15, works great in camping/RV/garage and other outdoors activities!Re: Niagara area RV parksNiagara falls Ontario is a good option sorry I can't link to it.Re: Canadian Campground PicsFamily's weekend
