Has anyone heard how they fared?Re: Prevost Bus or Newmar King Air Mr.Mark wrote: Holstein! Haven't seen you around in a while! Thanks Mr. Mark, We are still full-timing in the motorhome here in Asheville. So if you come to visit, please look us up. We love the area so much that we are actually building a house around the motorhome. It's beautiful. You'll have to see it to believe it. --PaulRe: Class A RVing near NYCI've been to Liberty Harbor twice and loved it. My suggestion is to just do it. I don't think the park will be open for long. I see development all around the property and I think they plan to sell out to developers in the not too distant future. You may never have the opportunity to camp so close to NYC in your lifetime. The last time I was there, the entrance ramp to the highway was closed and I had to drive a few miles through tight city streets to get back on the highway. That was very scary and way too close for comfort a couple of times. I suggest you call ahead and ask them what the widest path in is. Be sure to check Google Maps for street closures and don't arrive or leave close to rush hour.Re: Walmart RV parking appI find Allstays to be the perfect app for finding Walmarts. I can filter for just Walmarts and see all of them in the area. When I click on them, I'll get additional information about which ones allow overnight parking, phone numbers, etc.Re: Prevost Bus or Newmar King AirI own a top of the line 2015 Newmar King Aire and I've had the pleasure of visiting Mr. Marks Prevost. His Prevost is much nicer than my King Aire. But you won't be disappointed with either. There are great advantages to the Prevost, but there are also some minor quirks such as the steps are internal vs external and the exhaust in the rear is above the coach, not lower at the bumper. The quirk I disliked the most was the split windshield on the Prevost. The Prevost is definitely a driver's coach. But as others have said, if you plan to spend a lot of time at the campground, maybe saving the money would make more sense.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos blownstang01 wrote: tomman58 wrote: Try them on the wife they are good for that also, He HE It would be near impossible to be far enough away once you cut them off though... It's great for playing Jeopardy, setting timers, helping me spell and doing math problems without a calculator. But the best thing about it is the ability to add items to our shopping list without washing our hands, finding our phones, turning on the phone, pulling up the shopping list on the phone, then typing in the items. Paper lists were even more inconvenient. Now, whenever one of us sees something that needs to be purchased, we simply say, Alexa, add XYX to my shopping list. The items immediately appear on both my phone and my wife's phone. My wife and I both love this function.Re: Best campground for a giant MH in BanffThis is really great information. Thanks to everyone who posted.Re: Best campground for a giant MH in Banff Kevinwa wrote: Either tunnel mountain trailer court or tunnel mountain village 2will be the best right in Banff park. The trailer court has full hook ups and no fire pits. Village 2 electric only and some have fire pits. Village 2 is kinda laid out like parralel parking and you get about 60 feet of stall length if I had to guess. The trailer court side has some that have two sites in the little pull outs and some singles. With a unit that size you will need one of the singles. Canyon rv resort in radium bc is a beautiful place to stop in that part of the country. About 1.5hours from Banff. In jasper, I think the largest sites are the full hook up ones in the whistlers campground. I love that campground. There is a koa in Hinton that might have larger accommodations, but it is about a 45minute drive or more from any of the jasper attractions. If you are okay with boondocking the snaring river overflow site is a huge open parking lot with some great mountain views. For anything right in the national parks you must reserve through the parks Canada reservation system. Popular campgrounds fill fast for popular dates. Booking for the year opens sometime in January, there will be a notice on the site saying which day for which park. If you are going on a weekend in July I recommend booking Immediately after the booking system opens for the year. I use google earth combined with the pics parks Canada gives to compare stalls for size etc. One park even you could even go through on google street view, I don’t remember which. I camp in these parks 10-20nights a year, if you need anymore info please ask. That's great information. Thanks.Re: Best campground for a giant MH in Banff GREGORYJ wrote: Tunnel Mountain Campground in the park should have the space you need. Most, maybe all the sites are along each side of the campground streets, if you there before others arrive, your just pull into place between the sites lines. This was our site a couple of years ago, I think 76 but not 100% sure at the end of a street. Great view, needed to run power cord however to the other side of the RV. I parked the 36' RV still hooked to tow dolly and the car parked in front. Holy cow, that looks nice. Stunning.
