I have a 2019 Thor 22B which is a 24 ft Class C. I can tell you that the V-10 gives you immediate pickup and there is no problem merging onto interstates or passing with it. I don't know what the MPG on it will be yet as I have only taken short trips so far but I would expect it to be rather low. I had a Class B with the V-10 and it got around 10 MPG, this will be lower. As for the ride, it doesn't lean much but it does wonder a bit and will most likely need an alignment. We chose the Winnevpbago 35F because of the extra half bath. We were hoping to find a decent entry level A in the Winnebago lineup because of their large dealer network. Most large cities have a Winnwbago dealer. We had no problem with the quality of the coach or with the ford chassis. I bough a Transit Wagon 8 passenger and will be removing the third row seating. The transit is an amazing van compare to the Econoline. The first short trip I took in it got 19.1 mpg with the Ecoboost engine. Around town it is getting 18. Very comfortable ride. Two small beefs, it's almost impossible to get a beverage out of the cup holder without hitting the transmission lever and the arm rest on the door is rock hard, same as they were on the Econoline and your elbow gets sore real quick, I'll be padding that soon. I had 2004 and 2012 V-8. Excels and a 2007 V-10. MPG is about the same, the V10 has more power, an extra gear in the transmission, I believe the 07 is a 4-speed overdrive and the V-8 was a 3 speed overdrive, you will have a much greater towing capacity with the V-10, and Lower rpm at highway speeds. They are also much better climbing mountain area roads. Price wise I think they are both too high, but they are hard to find. Finally the Excels are great units with minimal problems, well constructed Pleasure-way quality. Good luck with your choice.1.1KViews0likes0Comments
