I don't leave pilot lights on anyway (too many years on boats), so I never give the propane a thought. I have Medicare and a supplement, so there was no cost to me. Get the double batteries, it comes with 12Vdc and 115vac chargers. I think you'll be pleased. Except as a satisfied user, I have no connection with this company. BTW, the flame for your frig is outside.Re: Defacing National ParksSome years back we were at Petrified Forest and I witnessed two guys in their 20's pick up a BIG! chunk of petrified wood and lug it to their SUV. I told them that the fine for removing anything from the park was really big and they told me to mind my own blankety - blank business. So --- when I got to the gate I ratted them out. They were caught and (I hope) paid the big fine.Re: Chevrolet trucks set record on the Alcan!Plymouth had the same ad --- Champs of the ALCAN Run!! L&M cigarettes advertised "LESS TAR - MORE TASTE" There were no "Truth in Advertising" laws back then. Every claim had to be taken with a grain (if not a whole box) of salt!Re: Some of my best work!!When I was a kid in the early 50's an old man who had hobo-ed all over the country in the 30's used to take several of us hunting and fishing. He knew more things to cook and more ways of cooking than anyone else I ever knew. He'd make a rabbit stew in a coffee can, or wrap fish in clay and bake them in the campfire coals. he'd pull wild onions for flavor and always had a little pack of salt. It doesn't matter so much what you cook ON (or in) as knowing how to make simple things taste good. I think of him often when I'm "camp cookin'"Re: 5 Dangerous Road Trips in the USAWhoever wrote the description of US 17 in Beaufort County, SC has never been there! Peaks? Valleys? MOUNTAIN LIONS? I will eat raw without salt any mountain lion killed on 17 in Beaufort County! I've driven several of the others with no ill effects. I don't know why anyone would write something this foolish, so I'll toss it in my trash file and forget it!Re: Burgoo'Round here we make it with wild game. Either duck or wild turkey and venison. Otherwise, much the same. Hot cornbread and your favorite beverage are all that's needed.Re: Gnats, mosquitoes and things that biteIf you don't mind the scent of Jergen's Lotion (original scent) you can keep them at bay. Just rub it on and reapply as necessary.Re: GA-FL-AL during the 2014 holiday - LAST DAY added on PAGE 5!In my post I didn't mention that we weren't in our TC. We were in our 5'er. You might remember the tiny black pup with the BIG mouth! She has now been bark trained, and has better manners!Re: GA-FL-AL during the 2014 holiday - LAST DAY added on PAGE 5!We were there from Dec 26 til Jan 3. The fish all had lockjaw, but we pigged out on oysters. We've been to St George several times, and will go back.Re: Hitch Lock Hazared!!If my hitch is going to be on the truck for a while, I use a grade 8 bolt with a lock nut. And just because I'm paranoid, I drilled the bolt and put a Cotter key in it.
