When you download the E_mail to your home computer and remove it from the "HOST" ushing protocol the file now exists on yoru comptuer.. NOT the host Your phone can not access it SOLUTION Dump the Client based E-mail (T-Bird) and go with Web-Mail. Yahoo, G-Mail. Microsoft's current mail system and most other E-mail hosts today offer a Web mail. With Web mail I can access from this Chromebook, the one beside it, the Windows machine below it, the one in the ham shack, the one in the bedroom My Phone or tablet. All see exactly the same thing. If I move it off to a folder.. all see that folder All see exactly the same thing NOTE: the downside: Limited storage on the free Web clients. pay for more is an option. This post shows a lack of understanding. You need to get up to speed so to speak before posting.Re: Cell Phone Email app?The app "K9 Mail" Just like Thunderbird on your PC. I had to unpin the white rectangle first but then re pin worked perfectly. Good to hear, Joe.Re: Windows 10 Desktop ?? joebedford wrote: The only problem I've had with W10 is when I recently installed the latest version of Quicken, the icon on the taskbar changed from the "Q" to a blank rectangle and I can't figure out how to restore it. (I'm not going to reinstall Quicken just for that). Joe, Go to the folder named "Program Files x86" In that folder look for a folder named "Quicken". In the Quicken folder look for a file named "qw". You will see it has a red "Q" icon. Right mouse click on that qw and click on "Pin to Start". That will give you the Quicken program icon/tile in Start. Now, you can right mouse click that icon/tile in Start, then click on more and the select add to task bar. This will give you the Quicken program icon on your task bar. Do delete the "blank icon" you mentioned on the task bar. Another way to get you task bar icon, is to go to Start, "All Apps" and look for Quicken. Click on the Quicken folder and then right mouse click on the Quicken icon and select pin to task bar / pin to start.Re: Emails magicbus wrote: sherlock62 wrote: Why, why would you even consider using web based email in regard to email (sending and receiving) on your smart phone. Makes no sense at all. Of course if you are clueless in regard to a smart phone, I guess you might consider doing so. Speaking of clueless... it's always funny when someone knows everything! I am forced to use Outlook web mail to access my work email from my phone because the company I work for only supports iPhone and there is no support through our VPN for Android. Just when you think you know it all... Dave Well, I still stand by my earlier comment as it pertains to pretty much everybody... I wonder what I am doing wrong. I forgot to mention earlier to check to see with your current email client (if Verizon).. Be sure your Verizon outgoing mail server (SMTP) is set up with smtp.verizon.net Outgoing Server Port Number: 465 Make sure SSL encryption is enabled for the incoming and outgoing mail server.Re: Emails wa8yxm wrote: Your E-mail client is configured wrong. Try using your Mail service's web interface and dump the client off your computer.. Safer that way too since the web interface scans for malware. I disagree. Getting email(s) from web based offering is cumbersome. With a smart phone the way to go is to use an app like K9 Mail to send/receive emails. Very easy to set-up and the only way to fly when doing email. Of course, you could just use a GMAIL address and then use the GMAIL app which is a very decent offering.
