This may carry over to your truck I don't know https://youtu.be/40WDW5xPqP4?si=NTwLOtr8PbdokfBdRe: A Big Thank YouCummings owners probably:SRe: What is your speed uphill?I would relax about the speed. I doubt that there would be more than 5 mph difference between the various brands. If going 70 mph up any reasonable grade is your important criteria then get a class 8 truck with an 18 speed and the biggest engine option and numerically low differentialRe: Ambient Temp Sensor TroubleshootingIf I understand this correctly you have two problems. The first is that the outside temperature does not display correctly. I would agree that this is likely related to the ambient temperature sensor in front. However, there is almost certainly a separate sensor that measures the interior car temperature. Fixing the outside temp sensor probably would not fix the HVAC problem. Just my opinion I don't know for sureRe: Bought a second truck.I believe a 460 will fit right in where a 390 has been. That would be my choiceRe: F250 3.73 to 4.30 axle ratio dodge guy wrote: To those that think that runnng in a lower gear is the same as having a lower ratio, you really don't understand what is going on in a transmission and rear axle? If that was the case then the manuf. would just tell people to tow in "X" gear to tow X amount of weight. Unfortunately it do not work like that. I would much rather spend the money on gears and/or gas than get into a newer diesel! How about explaining the difference to us?Re: Thoughts on studded tiresIf it is cold and you have ice nothing beats studs. Suggest Nokian hakkapeliitta 9 SUV. Non studded are ok if you only get snow. The Nokia’s are factory studded and have an air cushion under them so they last a LONG time. I have them on a civic, an f250 and an f450. Other tires I have had include blizzaks, kumho studded something’s, and good year ultra grip ice (in the last 10 years) - none were as good as the nokian - IMHORe: 2020 GM/Chevy gas 6.6L max towing test ls1mike wrote: ShinerBock wrote: There should be a caveat with N/A gaser tow ratings such as you loose X pounds of rating every Y feet above elevation instead of just saying it can tow 16,000 lbs. Unless doing 25 mph at 5,000 rpm without any power to pass is your idea of towing. At the end of the test they were going 2600 RPM at 25 mph. Truck wouldn't downshift. I wonder what would have been different if they put it in manual. To be honest I never put mine in manual, but I have not towed the IKE. I wonder if it fails to downshift because at that altitude the engine doesn’t generate enough torque for the transmission to sense a downshift pointRe: Time to place your bets465 hp 960 tq
