It takes quite a while to get your water temperature dialed in at the shower head due to how long it takes to get hot water. So when you do the whole Navy shower routine, you have that same wait for hot water all over again when you are needing to rinse off. The tendency then is to leave it running at your temp. But that wastes a lot of water and gas.Re: Tankless water heaterMy question at this point would be; what is the largest Propane/Electric water heater can I replace this new tankless water heater with? The original was a6 gallon unit and I do not believe there is any space available, after modifications to squeeze in a larger water heater.Re: Tankless water heaterWe made that switch about a month ago, installing a G*r**d water heater. There is an ECO module in this water heater that has been faulty from day one. I am still waiting on the manufacturer to send the new module. In my opinion, I would be hesitant to make this purchase again. This unit has shut down in the middle of a shower. When you turn off the hot water at the faucet, you have to wait as much as 10 minutes before the water heater will come on again, otherwise it has an audible alarm and an error message saying the water at the faucet is too hot. (There is no sensor at any of the faucets.) I would rather have a regular Gas/Electric water heater. I think they're more dependable and they get hot water to any of the faucets much faster than this tankless unit does.Re: Assessing RV ValueI have been looking at PPL online. There is one a short drive from me and I will be going to talk with them.Re: Assessing RV ValueI have no issue with a dealership or anyone else making a profit. I have an issue with getting a "Rubber Stamp" price attached to my current RV, sight unseen. And I do understand why that is done. I will have to sell my current RV privately to actually get a fair sale. There's a lot of good advice here, and I thank you for that.Assessing RV ValueWhat is the most reliable way to assess the value of my RV? I am wanting to sell mt TT and upgrade to a 5th Wheel. The 1st dealership was really lowballing the value of my trade-in. I would prefer to not get hosed with my 1st RV upgrade but what I've seen so far is not promising.Black Tank OdorsI dump and backwash my black tank weekly. I run backwash cycles of 5 minuites with the dump valve closed to allow clean water levels to rise during the backwash. After having clear water coming from the tank from two consecutive flushes, I'll close the dump valve and run the backwash for 15 - 20 seconds and leave that in the tank to mix with the tank chemical I put in every week. My issue is that in the past month or so, the odor from the black tank has become really bad. I have gone in from the top side with an angled wand to clean what I can from there. After doing this weekly for 2 years, am I somehow missing a step? Or is there something additional/different I should be doing after two years of use?Re: Drill motor for stabilizersMy Ryobi works well on the jacks. My stabiizers are hooked directly to rig power.Re: Holding Tank TerminationsI completely agree with you Huntindog! That's the very thing I told my coworker. My apologies for the mis-spelling Huntindog. Blasted Autocorrect!Re: Holding Tank TerminationsI'll not argue semantics here. Prowler messed up and it's responsible for the correction, bottom line. Regardless of who opens what when, Prowler has the responsibility.
