All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Route Planning QuestionI still use my Microsoft Streets and Trips planner. It is the 2011 version. I like it because it does allow me to plan traveling the slowest speeds which averages out daily to about 50 mph. I can also tell it that I do not want to travel on Interstates. There is no longer any MS support for this program I know many of us were upset when they stopped offering it. It has many features that I still use. I just have to go to Google Maps and make sure the roads I plan on driving are still intact! I also use RV ParkyRe: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}September 5, 2005 I read the post that began with...."Went camping this weekend at a campground on the lake, had not been there for a few years. Once there I began to walk around looking at the different sites when I noticed a very old dog." And we all were made better because of Richard and Old FellaRe: Durango, CO to Baggs, WYIn addition to the perils of driving on Highway 550, please note that there is ongoing construction on US Highway 50 between Montrose and Gunnison. US 50 InfoRe: Cleveland to Upper Peninsula of MichiganAs a former resident of western Michigan I also suggest traveling up the west side of Michigan. Take US 31 north. A beautiful ride is on Michigan Highway 22. Take US 31 to Highway 22 just past the little town of Beulah. Enjoy the views, the people, the fruit and the lake air!Re: Cell Phone - Sending Test MessageI had that problem a few months ago and I just needed to resize my photoRe: Traveling via B&B/hotel vs RVIn addition to using our own bathroom facilities and eating in restaurants less there is the pet situation. I recently calculated two trips for a fall trip, with one driving in our car and the other in our 26 foot motorhome. We have a 6 pound Yorkie. It was difficult to find a pet friendly hotel with good reviews and reasonable prices. Laquinta hotels let pets stay free. Other chains wanted from $10 to $30 per night extra for the dog. It has been a while since we stayed in hotels and the prices were very high. Then at our destination the cost for lodging was $180 per night vs. $35.00 for the RV park. In the end, even with the high cost of gas, the RV trip was the way to go!Re: We all use different ways.RV.Net needs a Like or Love button! I would certainly press Love for your happy, positive post!Re: Keeping fridge door open while in storageI just hang two towels over the doors. They keep them open In addition I save all of the various silica gel packets that come with medications and electronics and I leave them in a plastic container on a shelf to absorb any moisture.Re: Two months in TexasI have never been to this park but I did a small search for parks in south Texas. Reel Chill RV Resort in Rockport had availability. I wasn't sure what type of RV you had or the length so I typed in Fifth Wheel and 42 feet in length. They had availability. from January 16 through March 30 Reel Chill RV ResortRe: Driving through Albuquerque during Balloon FestivalThanks everyone! We will not be in too much of a hurry. It was just frustrating to be in that stop and go traffic last time in the motorhome. We live out in the country and if there are more than three cars on the road by us we wonder what is going on!!!!
