Solar set up
Hi everyone! My RV dealer installed solar for me 10 months ago. All components are Victron except the inverter which is Xantrex. Does anyone know if these systems are incompatible? The controller died because it was installed behind the breaker box with no ventilation, but the inverter is not charging well either. When I first plug into shore power, current is 30-40 amps, but once the batteries are charged, current drops to -5 to -10 amps and stays there draining the batteries until I turn shore power off and on again. Then the pattern repeats. I've been in Texas for a couple months and temperatures have been in the triple digits. I'll be installing fans in the pass through where the batteries and inverter are, but haven't done so yet. Might not be right place for question but… Have friend in WA state that’s on state insurance guess like Medicaid when she needs it. She is a Gold Star widow and decided to buy RV, truck and full time. Sold home. Military wife doesn’t work. Read somewhere can’t use insurance out of state except for FL allows it. Friend has Montana that’s flooring ruined by hot water heater leak. Brand new fiver. It’s basically her primary residence since she sold home. Wondered if anyone experienced what mfg might offer to do for customer in this situation?!? Thanks she has contacted Montana Owners Club and in meantime got a decent connection to guy at mfg in Indiana. Hot water heater was leaking and camper thought had fixed but then poured out and co told her to shut down until can be seen at a dealership. She’s using shower house for now. Has had on-going issues with solar so still hit and miss on that. Solar is new release so she’s guinea pig I guess. Thanks for your help!555Views0likes0CommentsRe: Hot water in new 5er Montana
Just looking to see if anyone with new Montana exp any like problems. She got relatively new solar package too causing lots of problems. She knows new brings problems but piling up. Might add Elkhart to itinerary if continues has spent lots of time at dealer vs on the road.555Views0likes0Comments
