Texas Nomad. You might check out the Forest River Forums, https://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/. They have an active section of electrical/solar that gets many posts. Quite a few trailers on the forum the same model as yours. Also here is a link to the Coachmen online owners manual, https://forestriverinc.help/#/coachmenrv/guide/2021/1355-spirit/browse. This may be for our model (Coachment Spirit) but you might be able to find your specific model as well. We got a binder from the dealer with ours so I haven’t used the online manual much. We have a new trailer we picked up last spring, has a 12v fridge which compared to the gas/electric absorption ones I’ve had in the past is a nice change I really am pleased with. The trailer came with a 100w poly solar panel, 10 amp PMW charge controller, then I set it up with 2 6v GC2 lead acid batteries. In a 4 night dry camping trip last June it did well, the campsite was in full sun after 10am. I didn’t need to pull out the generator during the trip to recharge but would have had we planned to stay longer. It showed me for a shaded site or overcast days it needs more of its array on the roof and/or a portable unit. I’ll also be changing the charge controller to a MPPT. One recommendation I’d have is to install a good battery monitor to keep an eye on your batteries. I went with a Victron BMV712 which provides some good info on what’s going in and out as well as a quick look at the SOC435Views0likes0CommentsRe: Eternabond tape on fiberglass sides
X2 on removing the metal corner molding, first I’d check the water damage JD deal with repairing it as left alone will just get worse. Then put down new butyl tape, then reinstall the metal trim and seal with Dicor. We downsized to. 19’ TT recently and are out in its maiden voyage. One task has been to determine the place best for our portable tower heater. Like the OP we don’t expect to camp in freezing temps. Once home a dedicated circuit will be added to the location we determine. The little portable heater does a great job keeping the small trailer nice and warm. I’d me just as concerned if you are parked under them for their limbs falling on your rig. They are notoriously a weak tree. Curious what kind of platform your mattress sits on. We had one in our last rig that was a metal frame around the edges and metal bars in a few other places in the middle. To give the mattered something ti sit on it then had a webbing done like a basket weave that worked pretty good, but the mattress funnels two people to the middle like yours. The metal bars were 1” below the outside metal frame which caused most of the issue, got some 1” aluminum tubing from Home Depot that fixed the problem.497Views0likes0CommentsRe: TT Brake Service
