PERFECT ! So why don't you check out some state parks? We favor them for just this reason. Destination CG's that want to provide you with amenities are off the list. Maybe you'll see some kids riding their bikes around the loop, but noise from to many kids doesn't happen - at least for us. yes i intend to check out state parks... i was just asking about private parks in case there was some that people could recomend. thanksRe: Adult ONLY RV parks. ? I guess thats what adults only sounded like. sorry about that. what i am looking for is peace and quiet. I dont have kids and i am just looking for places that are geared towards the retirement crowd. I have turned up a few places but i was wondering about others. I know there are likely not alot of places... but i thought i would ask. i guess i'll be boondocking alot in national forests and such. Thanks for the advice.... i'll check 55 plus on the search. Search for "lake Tyee" It is located near Concrete Wa. north of Highway 20. very nice remote camping Village. Lake Tyee Thanks for the suggestion. I like Wash. state.Re: Want to say Hello DownTheAvenue wrote: Do you really want to crawl around inside you low top van? How many years can your back take that? Even the pop up rook has a very small area where you can actually stand up! Do your self a big favor, and look at a high roof model! I have been in the pop top van. There is plenty of room to stand up and move around. I'm not sure what you mean.Re: Adult ONLY RV parks. ?Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I understand about the summer places up north. I guess i'll find out when i get going. Thanks for your help.Re: Adult ONLY RV parks. ? westernrvparkowner wrote: I am not familiar with any 55 plus parks in Wyoming or Montana. What you can do is look for parks with minimum facilities for children, extra fees for more than 2 guests per site and other things that might not be attractive for families. A lot of parks in these states (mine included) are what can best be described as family tolerant, rather than family friendly. No playgrounds, no pools, no game rooms or arcades, no campfires, not bargain priced, and will tell you that there isn't a lot for children to do in the park if you ask. Personally, we are fine with the KOAs in the area taking in the families and leaving the traveling adults to us. Hi thanks.... very good advice. Thats really what i want anyway. I dont care about pools and all those extra things. ALL i want is a quiet place to sit outside and take in the fresh air and listen to the wind in the trees. Sounds like you have done some thinking about what you need and that is one of the most important things when it comes to what kind of RV to go with. yes... I have done ALOT of thinking about it. lol I actually started thinking about it around 2003... LONG before i was of retirement age. I have to say that things have morphed considerably since then. I started out thinking about an airstream TT and then from there i started looking at the folding campers. THEN.... i decided i didnt want to tow anything and started looking at class c vehicles.. from there i went on to the long wheelbase ford transit van with the high roof.... then to the medium roof to now.... the long wheelbase low roof with the pop up. LOL I have been all over the place.... but this time it feels just right. At least thats what i think right now.... and i have been researching ALL this for YEARS! I hope i have it right. I have an appointment at Sportsmobile in Austin when i get back into town next month. I honestly think that the low roof van is where i want to be.... with LOTS of solar on the roof. really cant wait to get started on this.Re: Adult ONLY RV parks. ?Hi thanks for your responses. Its something we all have to deal with... losing parents. its been SO HARD... i am just beginning to get somewhat back to normal. Getting a van built and out on the road will be good therapy. at least i think so. lolAdult ONLY RV parks. ?Hi I tried to do a search for adult only RV parks and i couldn't come up with anything. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction with a link ? I would be looking for parks for summer 2019 in the western US and maybe Canada.... to get out of the desert heat. I'll have a class B. If you have any suggestions for Wyoming, Montana... and north. OR anything in cooler places... Let me know thanks so much.Want to say HelloHi... its been a while since i have been here. I left because i had decided not to buy a van. My mother was not well and I had to deal with that. She passed last year and now that things are somewhat more settled.... i am starting to think about building the van again. SInce i have been gone... I have changed my mind about the kind of van i want. I am now looking at an extended body low roof ford van with a pop top from sportsmobile. i like the idea of driving something with a lower roof instead of the medium or high roof i was thinking about before. I am sure i will have LOADS of questions again. I'll have to look up my old posts to see what i was asking before. its been a rough couple of years.... but i think things are ok now. I look forward to reading here again and getting information. happy to be back.
