I called today and they (C2C) told me all we had to do was request it when we renew but we renewed with the points on our Good Sam VISA Card and didn’t actually do it ourselves. But we’re all good now.Re: First YearI spoke with someone at Good Sam and they said that when we renewed our C2C membership, a year of Good Sam was included. Will get with C2C Monday. ThanksRe: Cover or not to cover kellem wrote: Covered for years without issue until we had extremely damp winter and spent many hours cleaning up mildew on roof and interior. Fast forward.....we now leave trailer uncovered, plugged up, slides out, furnace set at 40* and rub 303 on roof and exterior every 2 months. Trailer stays fully stocked so we can take off anytime, much much better. We’re kinda impulsive about our travels too. ????Re: Are other drivers killing your RV experience?I understand how you feel. I drove class 8’s for almost 40 years and the traffic now days is why I decided to retire early at 62. Since we started RVing, I try to get through major metropolitan areas during non-peak times. I’ll leave early to get ahead of the morning rush and stop for lunch during that period. Just keep yourself safe and let’em go. We went through Denver on a Sunday morning at 5 am their time and it was very easy.Re: First YearSince we renewed our C2C does it renew our Good Sam also or is that separate? This is our first time to renew so we really don’t know how it works. ThanksFirst YearAnd what a year it has been. We made our first long trip in August. From N.Louisiana to Williams,AZ then to Rapid City,SD. We stayed in 2 C2C resorts that were great (Monument,CO and Rushmore Shadows). We also stayed in several GS parks. Every one of the people at all of the parks were courteous and helpful. We just renewed our C2C membership and looking forward to an even better year next year. Thanks for the opportunity to have this experience.Re: Good Sam Trip Planner questionI use the MapQuest travel planner along with AllStays for campgrounds. I can find just about anywhere I want to go with a good paper map though.Re: Fall color trip to north countryWe traveled 4500 miles in August from La to the Grand Canyon and then to Rapid City and returning through Ia, Mo and Ar. Had zero problems. Some places required mask and some didn’t. Get some disinfectant wipes and clean your hands after fueling and/or use disposable gloves. Pay at the pump. Got home and rode out Hurricane Sally and still don’t have COVID-19.Re: electrical problem, lights above dinette will not shut off.Do they have the button on the bottom of them? Some of mine do and some don’t. May be a bad switch or shorted wiring. Find which wire is the hot wire and make sure it is on the correct terminal. Will the lights work with the switch removed?
