I think that I would be looking for another shop to test it. A test only shop is not supposed to do any repairs. Test only! I have never had any work done on my V-10 with about 56000 miles and hardly has any emissions on the smog printout. Also if it fails I believe that they have to tell the state why it failed and what they fixed to pass. It should also be on your printout. I don't have a travel trailer but I did have the same problem in my motorhome. I found that the plywood base was sagging with two people. Many years ago after a graveyard shift I decided to hook my second battery up in my boat. I was very tired and I should have got some sleep first. As soon as turned my selector switch to both batteries it blew 100A fuse and melted the post off the battery. Basically I did what I am reading here. 2 volt batteries cross wired. Only one time at a campground I needed to get a cable box for free from the office, and once the campground's remote for it to work.
